Norwii - Trouble Shooting
Digital laser does not work on LED/LCD screen
This model features both a digital pointer and a physical laser. The Physical Laser is designed for projection screens only. The digital pointer functions on TV/LED/LCD screens and requires the Norwii Presenter software.
The following steps must be completed before use:
- Run the Norwii Presenter software. Search "User Manual of Norwii Presenter” on norwii.com for assistance with the software.
- Ensure the wireless presenter is connected to the computer. The connection status can be verified in the bottom left corner of the software window.
- For first-time use on a macOS computer, please confirm the following two steps:
- Set the keyboard type of the USB receiver to 'ANSI' in 'System Preferences - Keyboard Setting Assistant'. You can find a guide on the Norwii official website: https://www.norwii.com/manualen/624-en.html
- Grant the following three permissions: [Input Monitoring], [Screen & System Audio Recording], and [Accessibility].
Physical Laser
1. Physical laser does not light up
- Check that the power switch of the wireless presenter is on.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged. If the battery is low, please charge it first and then try again. Verify that the charging adapter and cable are functioning correctly during charging.
2. Physical laser is on but weak
- Physical lasers are intended for use on projection screens or walls and may appear weak on LED/LCD screens. This is normal.
- Wireless presenters compliant with Laser Safety Regulations may also exhibit a weaker laser beam in brightly lit outdoor environments. This is also normal.

Malfunction of back and next
1. Cannot turn pages and laser does not light up
Please check the battery and the power switch.
2. Cannot turn pages, but laser lights up
Please try pairing according to the guide on the official link: https://www.norwii.com/faqcn/501-cn.html
Try toggling between the 3 or 4 modes by long-pressing the '<' and '>' buttons for 3 seconds.
Long press '<' or '>' cannot full screen or black screen
Please change the input method to English input mode and try again.
If the long press function is not desired, you can set the long press function of the '<' and '>' keys to 'Null' via Norwii Presenter software - Customize.
Image: Three Modes Switching
Diagram illustrating Norwii presenter modes. It shows a device with buttons labeled '0', 'Up/Down', 'Left/Right', and a pointer key. Text explains that switching modes is done by long-pressing '<' and '>' keys simultaneously. Modes include 'Up/Down' for PowerPoint/Keynote page turning, 'Left/Right' for Prezi page turning, and 'Page Up/Page Down' for browser and photo viewer software page turning. It also indicates a USB-C charging port.
Cannot turn pages: 'Unrecognized USB device' prompt
Please try changing the USB port and computer to rule out computer-related issues.
Run the Norwii Presenter software and connect the USB receiver. Check the color of the USB icon in the bottom left corner of the software. A red icon indicates a faulty USB receiver; please contact the seller.
Mouse Cursor drift
The following two cases of cursor drift require calibration:
- The wireless presenter does not move, but the cursor moves by itself in a certain direction up to the edge of the screen.
- When the product is moved horizontally or vertically, the cursor moves diagonally instead of horizontally or vertically.
Calibration method:
Place the wireless presenter on a flat, stable surface. Turn off the power of the wireless presenter, long-press the '>' key, and then turn on the power. Release the '>' key; the indicator LED will start flashing. Keep the wireless presenter stable. The indicator light will stop flashing, indicating that calibration is complete. Calibration can be repeated if not successful.

Screenshot of the Norwii Presenter software interface. The main window displays 'Pointer', 'Customize', 'Pair', 'Sharing', 'Settings', and 'About' tabs. The 'Customize' view shows a visual representation of the presenter with buttons like 'LED', 'Laser Key', 'Pointer Key', 'Up', 'Down', 'Eraser Key', and 'USB-C Charging Port'. Each button is associated with functions like 'Annotate', 'Long Press to Annotate', 'Click to Erase Marks', 'Long Press to Adjust Volume', 'Long Press to Use Digital Laser', 'Double Click to Switch Pointer Modes', and 'Keep sending key when long press'. A 'Presenter connected' status is shown at the bottom.
The mouse pointer stays shown/hidden in full screen state
In PowerPoint full screen / slide show state, right-click the mouse. Navigate to 'Pointer Options' - 'Arrow Options' to modify the settings.

Under 'Pointer Options', 'Laser Pointer', 'Pen', and 'Highlighter' are listed. Under 'Arrow Options', 'Automatic', 'Visible', and 'Hidden' are shown, indicating how the mouse pointer is displayed.
Short control distance
Communication between the wireless presenter and the USB Receiver uses 2.4GHz wireless signals, which can be affected by obstructions. Strong Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other 2.4GHz wireless signals in the environment may also impact the control distance. It is normal for the actual control distance to be shorter than advertised due to environmental factors. If the control distance is very short (e.g., less than 5 meters), please contact the seller.
System Compatibility
macOS 10.15 or later, Windows 10 or later
Bluetooth connected but receiver unavailable after upgrade
Please check the following two points:
- Unplug and re-plug the USB receiver: Unplug the USB receiver from your device, wait 10 seconds, then re-plug it. Verify if normal functionality resumes.
- Update the firmware of the USB receiver: Check for new versions of firmware and keep them up to date.
If the issue persists after completing these steps, please contact the seller.
Tips: Please follow these steps to re-pair the presenter and the USB receiver after firmware updating:
- Run the Norwii Presenter software.
- Follow the steps described in the following link to pair: https://www.norwii.com/manualen/644-en.html
