Brief Introduction

The FR100C is a high-power portable LED fill light that enables RGB color adjustment and provides supplementary light in multiple scenarios, such as video filming, live interviews, and still life photography.

Key features of the FR100C include:

⚠️ Warnings:

• This product is not waterproof. Avoid contact with liquids and do not use in rain or humid environments.
• Do not expose the product to corrosive chemicals, flammable, or explosive materials.
• Avoid touching the heating part while the product is operating to prevent burns.
• Do not obstruct or block the fans to ensure proper cooling.
• Do not look directly at the LED chips to avoid eyesight damage.

Get to Know FIVERAY FR100C

The FIVERAY FR100C features the following components:

• Light Shade: The main lighting element.
• Fans: Built-in fans for cooling.
• Screen: Displays operational parameters.
• Control Center: Houses the buttons and dial for operation.
• Built-in Battery: Provides power to the device.
• Handle: For holding and mounting the light.
• Type-C Charging Port: For charging via USB-C.
• DC Charging Port: For charging via a DC adapter.
• 1/4" Threaded Hole: For mounting the light onto stands or other accessories.

How to Charge

The FR100C has built-in batteries. It is recommended to fully charge and activate the batteries before first use.

Charging Methods:

1. Connect the Type-C port of the FR100C to a USB charger using a Type-C USB cable. Plug the USB charger into an AC socket. USB chargers supporting PD protocol (up to 28W) are recommended.
2. Connect the TransMount 120W Power Adapter to the DC charging port and an AC socket. The FR100C can be used while charging.

Note: USB chargers are not included in the standard package. The FR100C COMBO includes a TransMount 120W Power Adapter.

How to Use

Important Usage Notes:

• ⚠️ DO NOT stare at the LED chips when the device is operating.
• The protection code of the outer case is IP20.

Button Description

The control center features the following buttons and dial:

• 1. DIM Button: Single press to enter the brightness adjustment interface (CCT mode). In the Brightness Adjustment Interface, press again to switch between Brightness and Color Temperature.
• 2. Dial: Used for parameter control.
• 3. HSI Button: Single press to enter the HSI full-color mode interface. In the HSI interface, press again to cycle through Hue (H), Saturation (S), and Intensity (I).
• 4. MAX Button: Single press to turn on/off the max-power mode.
• 5. Power Button: Long press to turn the product on or off.
• 6. CCT Button: Single press to enter the color temperature adjustment interface (CCT mode). In the Color Temperature Adjustment Interface, press again to switch between Brightness and Color Temperature. Long press to view the current firmware version.

Brightness/Color Temperature Settings (CCT Mode)

After turning on the FR100C, single press the DIM/CCT button to access the brightness/color temperature adjustment interface. Press the DIM/CCT button again to toggle between adjusting brightness and color temperature. Use the dial to set the desired value.

The screen displays:

• Battery Level: Indicates the remaining battery charge.
• Current Mode: Shows 'CCT'.
• Current Parameter: Displays the value being adjusted.
• Current Color Temperature Value: Shows the set color temperature (e.g., 5500K).
• Current Brightness Value: Shows the set brightness percentage (e.g., 100%).

Hue (H)/Saturation (S)/Intensity (I) Settings (HSI Mode)

After turning on the FR100C, single press the HSI button to enter the HSI full-color mode interface. Press the HSI button again to cycle through Hue, Saturation, and Intensity adjustments. Use the dial to modify the selected parameter.

The screen displays:

• Current Mode: Shows 'HSI'.
• Current Parameter: Displays the value being adjusted.
• Current Hue Value: Shows the set hue (e.g., H 360°).
• Current Saturation Value: Shows the set saturation percentage (e.g., S 100%).
• Current Intensity Value: Shows the set intensity percentage (e.g., I 100%).

Max Power Settings

In CCT mode, single press the Max button to activate the max-power mode, where the FR100C operates at its maximum output. The dial can still be used to adjust brightness/color temperature within this mode. Single press the Max button again to exit max-power mode. In HSI mode, max power is achieved when the intensity value is at its maximum.

When the product's temperature exceeds a certain level, the fans activate automatically. The product will shut down automatically if the temperature becomes too high to protect itself.

Firmware Upgrade

The FR100C supports firmware upgrades using "Zhiyun Gimbal Tools". Follow these steps:

1. Turn off the FR100C.
2. Connect the FR100C's Type-C port to a computer's USB port using a Type-C USB cable.
3. Visit the official ZHIYUN website (www.zhiyun-tech.com), navigate to the FR100C page, and download the USB driver, Zhiyun Gimbal Tools, and firmware. (Note: Mac users do not need to download the USB driver.)
4. Install the downloaded driver. Unzip the firmware file, which should have a ".ptz" extension.
5. Simultaneously long press the CCT and Power buttons to enter upgrade mode.
6. Launch "Zhiyun Gimbal Tools". Select the correct port and click "Open". Click "Firmware Upgrade", then click "Browse" to locate and select the firmware file (.ptz). Click "Upgrade" to begin.

The FR100C will automatically turn off upon successful upgrade.

Battery Safety (Fire, Injury, Property Damage):

• Use only ZHIYUN batteries.
• Never use swollen, leaky, or damaged batteries. Do not use if the battery smells or overheats (above 71°C). Contact ZHIYUN for abnormal batteries.
• Use batteries within -10°C to 60°C. Temperatures above 60°C may cause fire/explosion; below -10°C may cause damage.
• Avoid strong electrostatic or electromagnetic environments.
• Do not puncture the battery with sharp objects.
• Do not strike, crush, or throw the battery. Do not place heavy objects on it.
• Battery electrolytes are corrosive; rinse skin/eyes with water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice if contact occurs.
• Do not use batteries involved in crashes or heavy impacts.
• Do not heat batteries or place them in microwave ovens or pressurized containers.
• Do not place batteries on conductive surfaces.
• Prevent short-circuiting with wires or metal objects.

Battery Charging:

• Keep batteries and chargers away from flammable materials. Never leave unattended during charging.
• Disconnect battery and charger when fully charged.
• Do not charge immediately after use if the battery is hot. Wait until it cools to room temperature. Charging above 45°C or below 0°C can cause leakage, overheating, or damage.

Battery Storage:

• Keep batteries away from children and pets.
• Store away from heat sources and vehicles in hot weather. Ideal storage temperature is 22°C-28°C. Avoid environments above 60°C.
• Store in a dry environment.
• Periodically recharge discharged batteries to prevent damage.

Battery Maintenance:

• Avoid over-charging or over-discharging.
• Battery performance may degrade if not used for extended periods.
• Do not use the battery in extreme temperatures.
• Do not store where ambient temperature exceeds 60°C.
• Recharge and discharge every 3 months to maintain battery activity.

Battery Disposal:

Fully discharge batteries before disposal in designated recycling bins. Batteries contain hazardous materials and should not be placed in general waste. Follow local regulations for battery recycling and disposal.
