Audison SR User's Manual
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and technical specifications of the Audison SR series amplifiers. Please read all instructions carefully before proceeding with installation to ensure proper function and prevent damage.
Product Overview
The Audison SR series amplifiers are designed and engineered in Italy, offering advanced audio solutions for vehicles. This manual covers models SR 1.500, SR 4.300, SR 4.500, SR 5.600, and SR 6.600.
Safety Considerations
Before installation, ensure your vehicle has a 12 VDC negative ground electric system and that the battery and alternator can handle the increased power consumption. Avoid installing the amplifier in environments exposed to water, humidity, dust, or dirt, or near electronic gearcases. Ensure adequate ventilation around the amplifier, as it can reach high temperatures. Always disconnect the battery before performing any installation or maintenance. Use appropriate gauge cables and connectors as specified in this manual. When cutting or drilling, be aware of existing electrical wiring and structural elements. Secure all cables properly and protect them from sharp edges and moving parts. Always wear protective eyewear when using tools.
Installation Sequence
- Turn off the source and all other electronic devices before installation.
- Run the power wire from the battery to the amplifier location using an adequate AWG cable.
- Connect the power supply with correct polarity (+ to battery, - to chassis).
- Install an insulated fuse holder within 40 cm (16 inches) of the battery's positive terminal.
- Ensure a proper ground connection by scraping paint or grease from the vehicle chassis and using a screw for the negative terminal. Connect all components to the same ground point if possible.
- Route signal cables away from power cables.
- Connect RCA input cables. The applied signal must be between 0.2 VRMS and 5 VRMS (SR 6.600: 0.32 VRMS - 8 VRMS).
- Connect high-level inputs using the proper plug if RCA inputs are not used. Applied signal must be between 0.8 VRMS and 20 VRMS (SR 6.600: 1.6 VRMS - 40 VRMS).
- Connect speaker outputs using 10 AWG maximum speaker cable. Do not connect negative speaker outputs together.
- Connect the remote turn-on terminal (REMOTE IN) to the source output. Alternatively, use the AUTO TURN-ON feature via Speaker IN by setting the switch to ON.
- The power LED will turn blue when the unit is on. It turns red if there is an overload, thermal protection activation, speaker cable short circuit, or amplifier malfunction.
- Replace fuses only with those of the same rating. The fuse value should be approximately 30% higher than the amplifier's built-in fuse.
- Ensure all auxiliary devices are securely mounted for stability and safety.
- Check all wiring and connections after installation.
- Calibrate listening levels by adjusting the source volume to 3/4 of maximum and then adjusting amplifier levels until distortion is heard.

Block Diagrams
Block diagrams are included for each amplifier model, illustrating the internal signal flow and component connections for a clear understanding of the amplifier's operation.
Safe Sound
Audison promotes safe listening practices. Prolonged exposure to high sound pressure levels can damage hearing. Use common sense and practice safe sound while driving.
