Installation Steps
STEP 1: Prepare the Charger
Remove the screw from the EV-Charger using a cross screwdriver ?. Carefully detach the back bracket.
STEP 2: Mount the Bracket
Fix the back bracket and the cable hook (for Plug Type) to the wall. This involves inserting expansion bolts, marking hole positions, drilling holes (∅ 8mm, depth at least 45mm ?️), aligning the bracket and hook, and screwing them in with self-tapping screws (torque: 1.5~2 N·m ?️).
STEP 3: Estimate Cable Length
Temporarily hang the EV-Charger on the wall. Estimate the required length for the input cable (three-core for single-phase, five-core for three-phase, outer diameter: 12.5-18 mm) and communication cable. Remove the EV-Charger after estimation.
STEP 4: Access Internal Components
Unscrew the EV-Charger's rear cover using a cross screwdriver ? and remove it. Then, undo the fastening heads and remove the waterproof materials.
STEP 5: Remove Communication Board Base Plate
Unscrew the countersunk screw of the communication board's base plate using a cross screwdriver ?. Pull the base plate out.
STEP 6: Insert Communication Cable
Insert the communication cable (from meter, CT, or other devices) through the waterproof connector. Refer to the "CT/Meter Connection" section for CT or meter installation details.
STEP 7: Prepare Input Cable Wires
Strip the outer sheath of the input cable (approx. 75-80 mm). Strip approximately 12 mm of insulation from the end of each colored wire. Crimp European terminals onto the stripped wire ends using a wire crimper. Ensure wires reach terminal blocks with slight excess length.
Wire stripping details: Outer Sheath (75-80 mm), Strip length (12 mm). Ensure < 4 mm of bare wire is exposed after terminal crimping.
Wire definitions:
PIN | Definition |
---|---|
1 | L1_CT+ |
2 | L1_CT- |
3 | L2_CT+ (null for single-phase) |
4 | A1 |
5 | B1 |
6 | L2_CT- (null for single-phase) |
7 | L3_CT+ (null for single-phase) |
8 | L3_CT- (null for single-phase) |
STEP 8: Insert Input Cable
Insert the prepared input cable through the waterproof connector.
STEP 9: Connect Wires to Terminals
Insert the wires into the appropriate terminal block holes. Secure the terminals using a straight screwdriver ? (torque: 1.5~1.8 N·m ?️).
STEP 10: Reinstall Communication Board
Press the spring upward and push the communication board's base plate back in. Screw the countersunk screw to secure it (torque: 0.8~1.5 N·m ?️).
STEP 11: Reattach Rear Cover
Position the rear cover correctly over the cables. Screw the self-tapping screws using a cross screwdriver ?. Tighten the waterproof fastening heads (torque: 2~2.5 N·m ?️).
STEP 12: Final Mounting
Carefully hang the EV-Charger onto the wall bracket. Secure it with self-tapping screws using a cross screwdriver ? (torque: 2~2.5 N·m ?️). For Plug Type, connect the charging connector to the EV-Charger and hang the connecting cable on the hook.
CT/Meter & WiFi Connection
CT/Meter Connection
For "Private Charger" Scenarios: Connect the AC distribution box, CT/Electricity meter, and EV-Charger. The meter should be bidirectional.
For "Commercial Charger (OCPP)" Scenarios: Connect the AC distribution box, Electricity meter, Electrical grid, and EV-Charger. The meter should be bidirectional and connect via OCPP1.6.
Note: If a CT is installed, the arrow on the CT must point towards the public grid ➡️. For meter installation, consult the respective quick installation guide.
