Water Resistance
For all categories of watches, it is prohibited to:
- Press buttons underwater.
- Change hands underwater.
- Unscrew the crown underwater.
If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it. Do not wear a watch with a leather strap while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Watches are classified by water resistance ratings (from I to V) according to their degree of protection against water. Consult the table below to determine the correct usage for your watch.
Rating | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain | Car Washing, Sweating | Swimming, Snorkeling | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | - | Yes | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
III | 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
IV | 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
V | 200M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
V | 300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes:
- I: Watches are not water-resistant. Avoid exposure to any moisture.
- II: WR (Water Resistant) means the model is waterproof according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause any problems.
- III: With 5 Bar (50 meters) water resistance, watches can withstand water pressure equivalent to 50 meters and can be used during showers and brief swimming.
- IV: 10 Bar (100 meters) water resistance means watches can be used during normal swimming and snorkeling.
- V: 20 Bar (200 meters) water resistance means watches can be used for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
When using the product in conditions of rapid temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to the laws of physics and is not a defect.

General Notes
Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.
Screw-Lock Crown
Some water-resistant models are equipped with a screw-lock crown. To pull out such a crown, you must first unlock it by turning it in the direction indicated in the illustration. Do not apply excessive force when pulling out the crown, as this may damage it. The watch becomes unprotected from water and moisture when the crown is pulled out. After performing any operations with the crown, be sure to return it to its original position and lock it.
