Safety Instructions

Basic safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances. Ensure the voltage indicated on the rating plate matches your local network. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe use and understand the hazards involved. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not use if the power supply cord, plug, or any part of the appliance is malfunctioning, has been dropped, or damaged. Repairs should only be carried out by a qualified electrician to avoid risk of harm.

Do not remove the adaptor from the mains power supply by pulling the cord; switch off and remove the plug by hand. Do not use the adaptor to recharge non-rechargeable batteries or for any other appliance. Use the appliance only for its intended purpose. Be cautious when equipping accessories with rotating parts to prevent entrapment. Switch off the appliance, disconnect from the mains power supply, and allow to cool fully before changing or fitting accessories, and before cleaning or user maintenance. Use of an extension cord is not recommended. Only use the appliance with the provided power supply unit. This appliance should not be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system. This appliance is intended for domestic use only and not for commercial purposes.

Battery Safety

In the event of the battery pack leaking, do not allow liquid to come into contact with skin or eyes. If contact occurs, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice. Keep the battery pack out of reach of children.

Secondary battery packs need to be charged before use. After extended periods of storage, charge and discharge batteries several times for maximum performance. Do not leave battery packs on charge for prolonged periods. Use only the provided charger. Do not short-circuit the supply terminals. Avoid storing in direct sunlight or above 60 °C. Do not use battery packs not designed for this product. Do not dispose of battery packs in fire, crush, puncture, dismantle, or expose to heat or fire as they may explode. Do not subject the battery pack to mechanical shock. Dispose of exhausted battery packs at a local recycling station; contact your local authority for details. This appliance is fitted with a non-removable 7.4 V 2200 mAh Li-ion (rechargeable) battery pack.

Care and Maintenance

Always unplug the vacuum cleaner from the mains power supply before cleaning or maintenance. Do not immerse the vacuum cleaner in water or any other liquid. Keep the washable filter clean after every removal of the dust container.

Dos and Don'ts

Do:

• Check that the washable filter is kept clear of obstruction.
• Make sure the dust container and washable filter are cleaned regularly.
• Empty any liquid immediately after picking up liquid spills.

Don't:

• Use the vacuum cleaner without the washable filter or dust container in position.
• Use the vacuum cleaner to pick up flammable liquid, matches, cigarette ends, hot ashes, or any hot, burning, or smoking objects.
• Use any other power adaptor than the one provided.

Instructions for Use

Before First Use

Before using the vacuum cleaner for the first time, clean it with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

Installing the Wall-mountable Charging Base

The wall-mountable charging base can be placed on a flat, stable surface or fixed to a wall. Locate it close enough to a mains power supply to allow plugging in without overstretching the cable. Refer to the online instruction manual for full installation details.

Charging the Wet & Dry Hand Vac

Charge the vacuum cleaner for approximately 5-6 hours before first use. Subsequent charging times will vary.

STEP 1: Secure the vacuum cleaner into position on the wall-mountable charging base.

STEP 2: Plug in and switch on the mains power adaptor. The indicator light will flash red to confirm charging.

STEP 3: Once fully charged, the indicator light will stop flashing and illuminate red.

Note: Turn off the vacuum cleaner before charging.

Warning: The vacuum cleaner may become warm during charging. Always switch off and unplug from the mains power supply when charging is complete. Never recharge the vacuum cleaner whilst liquid is present inside the dust container. Always empty and dry the dust container after vacuuming liquid spills.

Using the Wet & Dry Hand Vac

The vacuum cleaner comes with a crevice tool for awkward corners and a squeegee nozzle for wet spillages.

STEP 1: Disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the wall-mountable charging base.

STEP 2: Fit the selected attachment by firmly inserting it into the air inlet.

STEP 3: Turn on the vacuum cleaner by sliding the on/off switch forward to the 'On' position.

Note: Both wet spillages and dry debris can be vacuumed, but they must not be mixed. Always empty liquid spillages before vacuuming dry debris, and vice versa. Never tilt the vacuum cleaner backwards when liquid is inside.

Caution: Do not overfill the vacuum cleaner; empty it before the contents reach the liquid max. fill mark or the dry max. fill mark. Do not use the vacuum cleaner without the washable filter or dust container in position.

The dust container and filter need regular emptying and cleaning to preserve suction and prolong the life of the vacuum cleaner. Refer to the online instruction manual for full instructions.

Storage

Store the vacuum cleaner in a cool, dry place after ensuring it is cool, clean, fully charged, and dry. Store the mains power adaptor separately, checking that the cable connections are not bent, as this could damage the wires.
