Important Information
Battery
If you notice signs of low power (faint display or no backlight), replace the battery at an authorized CASIO dealer or distributor. The battery included with your watch is a test battery installed by the manufacturer, so its service life may be shorter than standard batteries.
Water Resistance
Your watch is classified according to its water resistance rating (from I to V). Refer to the table below to determine the appropriate usage for your watch.
Marking on Case | Splash, Rain, Washing | Swimming, Washing | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|
I | No | No | No |
WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No |
50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No |
100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes |
200M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes |
300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for respective ratings:
- I: Your watch is not water resistant. Avoid contact with any moisture.
- III: If your watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
- IV: If your watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
- V: Your watch can be used for diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixture).
ATTENTION!!! For all types of watches, do not:
- Press buttons underwater.
- Operate the crown underwater.
- Unscrew the crown underwater.
Care for Your Watch
IMPORTANT!!!
- Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any other activity that involves immersion in water, as the strap may be damaged.
- The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If water enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest dealer or CASIO distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to excessively high or low temperatures.
- While the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and do not drop it.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild solution of water and a neutral detergent. Never use volatile agents (e.g., gasoline, thinners, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paints, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
- Some watch straps feature silk-screened designs. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging the designs.
For watches with resin bands...
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the band. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a soft cloth.
- Exposure of the resin band to sweat or moisture, or storing it in humid conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking of the band. To ensure a long service life for the resin band, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth as often as possible.
For watches with fluorescent cases and bands...
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent coating to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent coating to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with a wet surface can lead to discoloration of the fluorescent coating. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Rubbing a surface with fluorescent paint vigorously against another surface can transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch and does not accept claims from third parties.

This watch automatically corrects the time based on calibration signals. However, you can also set the time manually. Before using the watch, set your time zone.
Setting the Time Zone:
- In the Current Time Mode, press and hold button "A" until the signal transmission indicator (A/T, MSF, DCF) appears, indicating the start of settings. If the "A/T" indicator does not appear, press button "D".

Calibration Signal
This watch receives calibration signals to update the time. Transmission centers are located in Germany (25 km from Frankfurt) and Rugby, England. The signal has a range of 1000 km. Signals may be weak beyond 500 km. The transmitted signal is also affected by natural conditions, atmospheric pressure, and temperature. Signal weakening can be caused by:
- Being near a TV, computer, or home appliance.
- Being in a subway or tunnel.
- Being near an airport, train station, or busy highway.
- Being near radio or signal transmission stations.
- Electrostatic voltage.
There are two types of calibration signal reception: Auto Calibration and Manual Calibration. With Auto Calibration enabled, the watch automatically receives the signal five times daily to adjust the time. With Manual Calibration enabled, you press a button to receive the signal:
- Place your watch horizontally.
- In the Current Time Mode, press and hold button "D" for 2 seconds until a short beep and the "RC!" indicator appear. This indicates the start of signal reception.
- Signal reception takes 2 to 5 minutes. Do not move your watch during reception.
- To stop the reception process and return to Current Time Mode, press button "D".
If the signal reception fails for any reason, the "ERR" indicator will appear. If the signal reception indicator does not appear, it means signal reception is turned off. You need to turn it on.
Auto Calibration Signal
When Auto Calibration is enabled, the watch automatically receives the signal daily at 0:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00. The watch will attempt an additional reception at 5:00 if previous receptions were unsuccessful.
Enabling the Calibration Signal
- In the Current Time Mode, press and hold button "A" until the signal reception indicator flashes.
- Press button "C" three times to switch between enabling/disabling signal reception.

- When settings are complete, press button "A".
Signal Reception Indicator
This indicator shows the strength of signal reception. The indicator will be fully displayed when the watch is positioned for successful signal reception. Try to position your watch for optimal signal reception whenever possible. It takes about 10 seconds for the watch to establish the signal reception strength shown on the indicator. The calibration indicator is displayed in all watch modes. If the calibration indicator is not displayed, signal reception is not occurring. Perform manual calibration or check your watch settings.
