This document provides assembly and user instructions for the COSTWAY electric height adjustable standing desk.
Safety and Assembly Instructions
Before You Start
- ⚠️ Please read all instructions carefully.
- Retain instructions for future reference.
- Separate and count all parts and hardware.
- Read through each step carefully and follow the proper order.
- We recommend that, where possible, all items are assembled near to the area in which they will be placed in use, to avoid moving the product unnecessarily once assembled.
- Always place the product on a flat, steady and stable surface.
- Keep all small parts and packaging materials for this product away from babies and children as they potentially pose a serious choking hazard.

Assembly Instructions
- Step 1: Align the holes of the Left Leg (2) and the Drive Rod (4). Secure them using the Wrench (M-G) and Screw (M-A).
- Step 2: Insert the Drive Rod (4) into the hole of the Right Leg (3). If it cannot be inserted, tilt the Right Leg (3) slightly until it is aligned.
- Step 3: Tighten all 6 screws on the crossbeam to 100%. Use the Wrench (M-H) to install the Beam (1) to the Legs (2 & 3) with Screws (M-B).
- Step 4: Using the Wrench (M-H), install the Leg Base (6) to the Legs (2 & 3) with Screws (M-C).
- Step 5: Using a screwdriver, install the Side Plate (5) on each side of the Legs (2 & 3) with Screws (M-F).
- Step 6: Fix the Boards (7a & 7b) with Wooden Dowel (13).
- Step 7: Using a screwdriver and Screws (M-D), install the Desk Connection Plate (11) to the middle of the Boards and the Desk Connection Hook (8) to both sides of the Boards.
- Step 8: Fix the Silicone Sheet (15) to the corresponding hole position on the Boards (7a & 7b).
- Step 9: Using a screwdriver, secure the Leg part to the Boards (7a & 7b) with Screws (M-E). Align the Silicone Sheet (15).
- Step 10: Connect the motor at the Left Leg (2), Hand Controller (9), and Power Supply (10) in turn.
- Step 11: Using a screwdriver, install the Hand Controller (9) to the Board (7a) with Screws (M-D). Secure the connecting cable with Cable Clip (14) and glue it to the bottom of the Board.
- Step 12: Insert the Cable Hole Cover (12) into the hole in the Board (7b).
Ensure all bolts are 100% locked during assembly.
Using the Controller
The controller has buttons for adjusting desk height and settings:
- Raise Desk: Press the ⬆️ button to raise the desk continuously until it reaches the highest position or the button is released.
- Lower Desk: Press the ⬇️ button to lower the desk continuously until it reaches the lowest position or the button is released.
- Select Height Setting 1: Press the 1 button. The desk will move to the height previously set for this button.
- Select Height Setting 2: Press the 2 button. The desk will move to the height previously set for this button.
- Select Height Setting 3: Press the 3 button. The desk will move to the height previously set for this button.
Save Current Height Setting
Press the S button briefly. The screen will show 'S-'. Press the 1, 2, or 3 button to save the current height setting to that button. Pressing 1, 2, or 3 again will move the desk to the saved height. Any button press will stop the desk.
Settings
- Reset: Press and hold the ⬇️ button until 'rst' is displayed. Continue holding until the desk lowers to its lowest level and rises slightly. Release the button to complete the reset. If the button is released during the reset procedure, it will stop. The desk will not function until reset is correctly performed.
- Child Lock: Press and hold the ⬆️ and ⬇️ buttons together for 5 seconds to activate child lock. The screen will show 'LOC', and buttons will be disabled. Turn child lock off the same way.
- Settings Menu: Press and hold the S button for 3 seconds; 'S--' will be displayed. Briefly press S to enter setup mode. Use ⬆️ or ⬇️ to navigate the menu or adjust settings. Briefly press S to enter the next menu or save changes. Briefly press 1 to return to the previous menu. If no button is pressed for 20 seconds, the mode will exit.
- Power-Saving Mode: The screen turns off if no button is pressed for one minute. Any button press will turn the screen back on.
Troubleshooting / Error Codes
Protection Mode Error Codes
- SC0 (Standby Overvoltage Protection): Standby voltage too high. Power off the desk, check power and controller connections, then power on. If the error persists, contact technical support.
- SC1 (Power Supply Overvoltage Protection): Input voltage too high. If using the correct AC adapter, power off the desk, check power and controller connections, then power on. If the error persists, contact technical support.
- SC4 (Operating Overvoltage Protection): Operating voltage too high. Power off the desk, check power and controller connections, then power on. If the error persists, contact technical support.
- hot (Overheating Protection): If the motor runs continuously for too long, it stops to prevent overheating. Wait at least 18 minutes (until the error code disappears) before making further height adjustments.
- r-6 (Power Supply Overvoltage Protection during use): Input voltage too high. The error clears when the power supply voltage returns to normal. If the error persists, contact technical support.
- rst (Reset Warning): Continue to complete reset.
- E10 (Short Circuit Protection): Power off, check cable connections, and power back on. If the error persists, contact technical support.
- E11 (Overloading Protection): Max load exceeded. The error code will persist for 20 seconds (DO NOT operate). Remove items from the desk and check for mechanical damage before trying again.
- E12 (Motor Phase Error Protection): Power off, check the cable connection between the motor and controller, then power on. Follow reset instructions. If the error persists, contact technical support.
- E13 (Sensor Malfunction Warning): Motor sensor cannot be detected. Power off, check the cable connection between the motor and controller, then power on. Follow reset instructions. If the error persists, contact technical support.
- E14 (Anti-Collision System Warning): Impact detected. The desk will move 2" (50mm) in the opposite direction and stop.
- E16 (Cable Disconnection Warning): Check motor and controller cable connections. Normal operation should resume once all connectors are properly connected. If the error persists, contact technical support.
- E17 (Mechanical Failure Warning): Check for structural damage or motor fault.
