Safety Information
Please read the following safety information carefully before operating the machine. This information includes important safeguards about installation, usage, and maintenance. Pay attention to all warning labels and instructions in this manual and printed on the machine.

- Keep this device dry.
- Always connect to a grounded circuit to avoid risk of electrocution.
- Before connecting the machine to power, always check the voltage indicated on the machine matches your local AC voltage. Do not use the machine if AC power voltage does not match.
- Disconnect the machine from AC power before servicing and when not in use.
- This product is for indoor use only! Do not expose to rain or moisture. If fluid is spilled onto electronic parts, immediately unplug the machine and contact your local Antari dealer for advice.
- No user serviceable and modifiable parts inside. Never try to repair this product, an unauthorized technician may cause damage or malfunction to the machine.
- For adult use only. Never leave the machine running unattended.
- Install the machine in a well-ventilated area. Provide at least 50 cm space of around the machine.
- Make sure there are no flammable materials close to the machine while operating.
- If the machine fails to work, unplug the machine and stop operation immediately. Contact your local Antari dealer for advice.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
- The appliance is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge.
- Children being supervised are not to play with the appliance.
- Do not insert hands or objects into fan.
- Do not allow for the vents to be obstructed.
Unpacking and Inspection
Immediately upon receiving the machine, carefully unpack the carton, check the content to ensure that all parts are present and have been received in good condition. If any parts appear damaged or mishandled from shipping, notify the shipper immediately and retain the packing material for inspection.

Setting Up
- Place the machine on a flat surface and in a suitably large area with at least 50 cm of open space around the machine.
- Connect the machine to suitably rated power supply. To determine the power requirement for the machine refer to the label on the machine.
- ⚠️ Always connect the machine to a protected circuit and ensure it is properly grounded to avoid risk of electrocution.
- AF-5X/AF-5XR will automatically turn on when connected to main power supply. The screen lights up and is ready for operation.
- To turn off the machine, stop operation and unplug the power cord.
Operation
Control Panel Operation
The fixture can be operated with the onboard digital control interface. The control panel features DMX OUT and DMX IN connectors.

Note: AF-5X / AF-5XR automatically memorize the setting after 5 seconds.
Control Menu
The control panel displays various settings:
- ADD: Set DMX address from 1 to 512.
- LED: Turn on or off display auto shut off.
- ARN: Turn on or off manual wind speed control.
- VER: Show software version.
Wind Speed Manual Control
The wind speed of the fan can be adjusted in three steps using the rotary switch, the wireless remote control, or a DMX controller.

Wireless Control (AF-5XR Only)
The AF-5XR model supports wireless control. The DMX section of the unit includes DMX OUT and DMX IN ports.
Registration Process:
At first, the wireless remote control must be registered with the machine.
When the fan is powered on, the LCD screen on the control panel will show 888 for about 15 seconds. Within this period, press button A on the remote control to register it with the machine. It will show 88.8 when it's successfully registered.
It is possible to register up to 5 remote controls with a machine at the same time. When registered, a remote control can control an unlimited number of machines in parallel.
W-1 Wireless Remote Control
The W-1 Wireless Remote Control allows for fan speed adjustment and stopping the fan.
Button A on the remote control allows for incremental adjustment of the fan speed: first actuation: low ➡️ second actuation: medium ➡️ third actuation: high.
Button B stops the fan.
If your fan comes without a wireless remote, the wireless function is not available.
DMX Control
DMX Connector Pin Assignment
The machine provides 5-pin XLR connectors for DMX connection. The diagram indicates pin assignment information.

The machine uses one DMX channel for adjusting the fan speed.
DMX Setting:

DMX control will override both manual and wireless control functions.
RDM Control
The AF-5X/AF-5XR stage effects fan is RDM enabled. To enter RDM UID value, please hold [MENU] and [DOWN] button and connect to main power supply.
The LCD screen will show 838 and flash 3 times and it'll be available to enter UID value from 1 to 999.
Service and Maintenance
Important! Smoke fluid residue, dust and any excessive particle residue will degrade product performance, cause overheating and damage fixture. Damages caused by inadequate cleaning or maintenance are not covered by product warranty.
Cleaning
- Unplug fixture from AC power before starting.
- Use vacuum or air compressor and soft brush to remove dust on components and vents.
- Clean fixture with a moist, lint-free cloth.
- Never use alcohol or solvents.
