Congratulations on your purchase! This user manual will help you assemble and operate your new Electric Scooter. Be sure to read all information in this manual before riding.
Note to riders under 18: Obtain parental permission before riding your electric scooter.
Safety First
Always wear a helmet when riding your Electric Scooter.
Ensure your scooter has a full battery before riding.
Always be aware of and follow local road laws.
Always respect pedestrians.
Do not ride in wet conditions, as the scooter may slide and cause injury. Wet conditions can also damage the electronics.
Important Warnings:
- Avoid water: The scooter is not waterproof. Water can damage the electronics and potentially cause injury.
- Avoid extreme riding.
- When riding the GOTRAX electric scooter, you risk injury. Ride with caution and at your own risk.
- Before each use, ensure the scooter is operating correctly.
- Before riding, check that the braking system is functioning properly and that all safety labels are in place and understood.
- Before riding, check that the tires are in good condition.
- Never exceed the 220 lb (100 kg) maximum load rating.
- The electric scooter should never be used by children under the age of 13.

Assembly Instructions
Tools Required: 4mm Allen Key Wrench (included).
- Attach Handlebars: Insert the handlebars into the top of the tiller.
- Secure Handlebars: Tighten the bolts on the side of the handlebar clamp using the Allen wrench.
- Connect Brake Cable: Take the red cord attached to the hook. Pull it towards you and insert the round metal piece into the solid piece of the handbrake. Ensure the metal piece is fully inserted.
- Secure Cord: Bring the red cord and hook back behind the tiller. Reattach the hook to the back of the tiller using the provided screws and Allen wrench. The red cord should wrap around the tiller.
Charging Your Scooter
Before using the scooter for the first time, fully charge the battery.
- Locate the charger port on the scooter.
- Insert the charging plug into the port.
- The indicator light is red when charging and turns green when fully charged.
- Keep the charging port clear of dust and debris.
Charging Time: Approximately 4 hours.
Charging Requirement: Charge your scooter in temperatures between 32°F (0°C) and 104°F (40°C).
Scooter Console Functions
- Power On: Press and hold the [red-button] for 1 second.
- Power Off: Press and hold the [red-button] for 5 seconds.
- Lights: Press the [red-button] for 1 second while the scooter is powered on to toggle the headlight and taillight.
- The console displays speed (MPH), battery life, and headlight/taillight status.
Error Codes:
- cE1: Communication failure
- cE2: Brake error
- cE3: Handlebar error
- cE5: Control error
Riding Tips
- Start by placing one foot on the platform and the other on the ground. Push off with your ground foot while simultaneously pressing the throttle to begin moving.
- Press the handbrake to slow down or stop.
- The scooter performs best on smooth surfaces such as parking lots, smooth roads, footpaths, and bike lanes.
- Regularly clean your scooter (wheels, platform, etc.) as it is a machine that requires maintenance.
- Do not press the throttle while walking the scooter beside you.
- Be aware of the terrain and watch out for curbs and obstacles.
- Cruise Control: To activate, press and hold the right-hand throttle for 10 seconds. To deactivate, press either the throttle or the brake button.
- Brake Light Status: The taillight also functions as a brake light. When the headlight is on, the brake light remains steadily lit. When the handbrake is engaged, the taillight flashes rapidly to alert vehicles and pedestrians behind.
Folding and Unfolding Your Scooter
Before folding, ensure the scooter is powered off.
Folding:
- Ensure the scooter is powered off.
- Hold the tiller and pull out the spring pin on the right folding panel, then rotate it clockwise.
- Hook the tiller onto the loop on the rear fender buckle. A click indicates it is successfully folded and locked.
Unfolding:
- Hold the tiller and pull the folding lever to unlock the folding mechanism.
Maintenance & Repair
Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your electric scooter.
- Cleaning: If the scooter is dirty, wipe it clean with a soft, damp cloth.
- Brake Adjustments & Service: If brake adjustments or repairs are needed, contact GOTRAX customer service. Do not attempt to repair the scooter yourself.
- Tires: Recommended PSI: 50.
- Storage: Store indoors when not in use.
Specific Adjustments:
- Tightening the Tiller: If the tiller is loose or wiggles while riding, use the 4mm Allen wrench to tighten the screws on the handlebar clamp.
- Adjusting the Disc Brake: If the disc brake is too tight or too loose, use the 4mm Allen wrench. Loosen the screws, adjust the brake wire tension, and retighten the screws.
Battery Information
Use the official GOTRAX power adapter to charge your scooter.
Store the scooter and power adapter in temperatures between -4°F (-20°C) and 122°F (50°C). Store indoors when not in use.
