Introduction
The YORK AHE Air Handler line offers advanced comfort, quiet operation, and flexible application capabilities. These units are shipped ready for installation in upflow, horizontal left, or horizontal right configurations with minimal adjustments, eliminating the need for special installation kits.
All JCI Unitary Products air handlers and coils utilize a TXV (Thermal Expansion Valve) for optimal performance and refrigerant control. While shipped with "Flex-coils" without a factory-installed metering device, an R-22 or R-410A TXV or orifice can be field-installed for refrigerant choice flexibility.
Key Features:
Thermal Expansion Valve: Provides precise refrigerant control for high-efficiency products. The UPG bolt-on TXV allows for easy installation and conversion without brazing.
Insulated Cabinet: Features 3/4" foil-faced insulation to prevent condensation.
Factory Sealed: Achieves an airflow leakage rate of 2% or less under duct blaster field test conditions, ensuring system airflow verification.
Durable Finish: Casings are made of pre-painted galvanized steel for superior corrosion resistance. Internal coil sheet metal parts are G60 galvanized or prepainted G30 galvanized.
Filters: Equipped with internal filter racks for standard 1" thick filters.
Electric Heat Kits: New 6HK series of field-installed electric heat kits offer easy installation and serviceability.
High Efficiency Blowers: Utilize high-efficiency brushless DC motors to enhance cooling SEER ratings.

TXV Kits: Available for "Flex-coil" applications and for converting R-22 to R-410A systems, or as service replacements. These kits are bolt-on and require no brazing for installation.
Electric Heaters: The 6HK models listed in the electrical data include sequential operation and dual temperature limit switches for safe, efficient operation. Circuit breakers are provided where indicated.

1. Air handler units have been tested to UL 1995 / CSA 22.2 standards up to 0.30" wc. external static pressure. Dry coil conditions only, tested without filters. For optimal performance, external static pressures of 0.2" to 0.5" are recommended. Applications above 0.6" are not recommended. Airflow data shown is from testing performed at 230V. AHE units use a X13 motor, and there is minimal variation of airflow at other distribution voltage values. The above data can be used for airflow at other distribution voltages.
