This manual provides instructions for the Birdfy Feeder Series, a smart bird feeder with an integrated camera designed to help you observe and record bird activity.

About the Product
The Birdfy Feeder Series includes the following components:
- 1. Roof: Protects the feeder from weather.
- 2. Bird seed bin: Holds birdseed.
- 3. Camera: For capturing bird activity.
- 4. Status light: Indicates device status (e.g., charging, Wi-Fi connection).
- 5. Power button: To turn the device on/off.
- 6. Charging port: For charging the device via USB.
- 7. Reset hole: For resetting the device to factory settings.
- 8. MicroSD card slot: For storing recordings. (MicroSD card not included in the package).
- 9. Perch: A place for birds to land.
- 10. Antenna: For wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi).
Charging
Fully charge the camera before use. The camera is not fully charged upon arrival due to safety regulations. Please charge it for 10 hours with the included charging cable (DC5V / 1.5A) before using it for the first time.
Temperature Requirements: During charging, both the ambient temperature and camera temperature should be above 32°F (0°C). If the camera has been exposed to low temperatures for an extended period, it should be brought back to room temperature before charging.

Downloading and Setting Up the Birdfy App
Download the Birdfy app from the App Store or Google Play. Follow the in-app instructions to set up your Birdfy device.
Pairing:
Pair your Birdfy device with the app.
Bird Identification:
If your Birdfy Feeder includes Lifetime Free AI, the AI bird identification feature is included and activated automatically, with no further action needed. If your feeder uses AI by Subscription, you need to subscribe on my.birdfy.com to access this feature.
Assembly
Step 1: Attach the roof
Attach the roof to the feeder body. You should hear a click. [? Click sound indicator]
Step 2: Install the perch
For standard Birdfy Feeder: Install the perch with the provided thumbscrew.
For Birdfy Feeder with Perch Pro: Install the Perch Pro with the provided thumbscrew.
Step 3: Attach the Hummee (if applicable)
Attach the Hummee to the feeder body.
Outdoor Installation
A. Pole-mounted
- Loosen the hose clip.
- Wrap the hose clip around the hanging bracket.
- Attach the hanging bracket to the pole.
- Secure the feeder on the mounting bracket with the provided thumbscrew, then hang the feeder onto the pole.
B. Tree-mounted
- Slide the strap through the hanging bracket slots.
- Wrap the strap around the tree.
- Secure the feeder on the mounting bracket with the provided thumbscrew, then hang the feeder onto the tree.
C. Wall-mounted
- Use the drill template and an electric drill (15/64", 6mm) to drill two holes.
- Drive the provided plastic anchors into the holes. Skip this step if you are mounting on wood. Next, fasten the hanging bracket on the wall using the screws.
- Secure the feeder on the mounting bracket with the provided thumbscrew, then hang the feeder onto the wall.
Adding Birdseed
Open the roof and pour birdseed into the bird seed bin.
Cleaning
Follow these steps for cleaning:
- Disconnect the charging cable.
- Remove the roof.
- Remove the perch.
- Disassemble the feeder base.
- Clean all parts with mild soap and water.
- Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before reassembly.
