Hisense Quick Setup Guide
Please read this guide carefully before using the device and keep it for future reference.
Attaching the TV Stand
To attach the TV stand legs to your TV:
- Carefully place your TV face-up on a clean, soft, and flat surface.
- Insert the TV base stands into the bottom slots on your TV.
- Use the provided screws (M5x16) to securely fasten each base stand.
- Take out the base cover and insert it into the two base stands as illustrated.
- Pinch the base cover and base stands together firmly until you hear a snap sound.
- Move your TV to a flat surface and organize cables using the cable organizer on the base stands.
Note: If installed on a ceiling or slanted wall, or if the television is not parallel to the wall, the television may fall, potentially causing property damage or severe personal injury. Consult the wall mount manufacturer or retailer for assistance with wall mounting.
Attaching the Wall Mount Bracket (Not Included)
Before proceeding with third-party manufacturer instructions:
- Place the TV on a clean, safe, and cushioned surface.
- Remove the TV stand if already attached.
- Place spacers (not included) in the corresponding bracket holes.
- Use fixing screws (not included) that are 9.5-11.5 mm in length.
Caution: Follow instructions provided with the wall mount bracket. Incorrect mounting can lead to TV falling, causing property damage or personal injury. Ensure the TV remains parallel to the wall and does not lean forward when wall-mounted.
Wall mount hole pattern (mm):
- 55" (139.7cm): 400 x 200
- 65" (165.1cm): 400 x 300
- 75" (190.5cm): 400 x 400
Connecting Devices to Your TV
Ensure all cables are securely connected to the correct ports. Loose connections can affect picture and color quality.
TV Back Ports:
- ANT/CABLE: Connect an outdoor VHF/UHF antenna.
- HDMI 1/2/3/4: Connect an HDMI cable from an external device.
- AV IN: Connect composite video and left-right audio cables from an external AV device.
- HEADPHONE/: Connect headphones to hear audio. Headphones with microphones are not supported.
- DIGITAL AUDIO OUT: Connect an optical cable to an external digital audio system.
- USB 2 / USB 3.0: Connect a USB device for photos, music, and movies. USB 3.0 ports offer faster speeds.
- LAN: Connect an Ethernet cable for network or internet access. Wireless connectivity is also available.
- Power Input: Connect the power cord.
Note: Port availability and location may vary by model.
Getting to Know the Controls
Control on the TV:
- Power indicator: White light in standby mode.
- Power button (Standby/Source): Quick press to turn on/off or switch input source. Long press to display the menu.
- Microphone control button: Switch to turn the built-in microphone on/off.
- Voice indicator: Illuminates when the Google Assistant is active.
Remote Control:
- Power [Power]: Turns the TV on/off.
- Microphone / Indicator [Mic]: For Google Assistant.
- Input Source [Input]: Changes the TV input source.
- Google Assistant [Google Assistant]: Activates the Google Assistant.
- Accounts & Sign In / Switch Profile [Profile]: Access accounts or switch profiles.
- Settings [Settings]: Access TV settings.
- D-pad (Up/Down/Left/Right) [D-pad]: Navigates menus.
- OK [OK]: Confirms selection.
- Return [Return]: Goes back to the previous screen or app.
- Home [Home]: Displays the Home screen.
- Guide / Return to Live TV [Guide]: Accesses the Electronic Program Guide or returns to Live TV.
- Volume Up/Down [VOL+/-]: Adjusts the volume.
- Channel Up/Down [CH+/-]: Changes channels.
- Mute [Mute]: Mutes or restores sound.
- Media control buttons [Media Controls]: Control media playback.
- Number buttons [123]: Enter channel numbers or access special functions.
- App [App]: Quick access to applications.
- Custom button [Custom]: Launches input or apps quickly.
Note: Remote control buttons may vary by model and country.
Google Assistant Functionality
The Google Assistant can answer questions or help configure TV settings. Ensure the TV is connected to the internet and you are signed into your Google account.
- Using the Control Button: Switch the button to [Mic On] to enable the built-in microphone. Pair the remote and select "Yes, I'm in." Start by saying "Hey Google."
- Screenless Mode: Allows interaction with Google Assistant even when the screen is off. To disable, go to Settings > System > Advanced System > Screenless Mode.
Note: Google Assistant availability varies by country/region/language.
Inserting Batteries
- Remove the back cover of the remote control.
- Insert two AA or AAA (1.5Vcc) batteries, matching the (+) and (-) ends.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
Important Battery Information: Dispose of batteries responsibly. Remove old batteries promptly. Clean the battery compartment if batteries leak. Do not mix battery types or old/new batteries.
Pairing the Remote Control
The remote can operate up to 26 feet (792.5 cm) from the TV at a 30-degree angle.
- Initial Pairing: Follow on-screen instructions when powering on the TV for the first time.
- Re-pairing: If pairing fails, keep the remote within 10 feet (304.8 cm) of the TV and press and hold the [Return] and [Input Source] buttons simultaneously for at least 3 seconds.
- Troubleshooting: If the remote has errors, try removing and reinserting batteries. Interference may also cause issues; remove potential sources of interference and re-pair. The remote cannot be paired while the TV is in standby mode.
Powering On the TV
Connect the power cord to the TV and plug it into a power outlet. The Hisense logo will appear on the launch screen.
First-Time Setup
Follow the on-screen guided setup to connect your TV to the internet and complete the initial configuration.
Establishing a Network Connection
Wired Connection: Connect a LAN cable from your modem/router to the TV's LAN port.
Wireless Connection: Connect to your Wi-Fi network through the TV's network settings.
Troubleshooting
No Sound or Picture: Check power cord connection, ensure TV is not in standby, verify correct input selection, and check external source connections.
Delayed Picture on Startup: This is normal as the TV initializes.
No Sound: Check volume settings and ensure 'Mute' is off.
Black and White Picture: Unplug and replug the TV. Check the 'Color' setting.
Distorted or Wavy Picture: Check for nearby electrical appliances causing interference. Try a different power outlet or adjust antenna if applicable.
Blurry or Cutting Out Sound/Picture: Check for interference from appliances or tools. Adjust antenna direction or reset channels.
Stripes or Shaking Picture: Check for interference.
Clicking Sound: This is normal and caused by temperature changes in the cabinet.
Remote Control Not Working: Replace batteries, check battery installation, or re-pair the remote.
