Control Elements and Functions
The keyboard features a comprehensive control panel and rear ports. The top panel includes:
- Loudspeakers: Integrated stereo speakers.
- Power: On/Off switch.
- MP3 Player Controls: Previous/Next track, Play/Pause, Stop, Volume adjustment.
- Sync: Synchronizes accompaniment to keyboard input.
- Fill-in: Inserts rhythm variations.
- Instrument (Tone) Selection: Choose from 255 tones.
- Rhythm Selection: Choose from 255 rhythms.
- LED Lighting: Controls the illuminated keys (On/Off).
- Demo Song: Plays pre-programmed demonstration songs.
- LCD Display: Shows current settings and information.
- Percussion/Drums: Selects percussion sounds.
- Record: Records keyboard performance.
- Program: Allows rhythm programming.
- Play (Playback): Plays recorded or programmed data.
- Split: Divides the keyboard into two sections with different tones.
- Sustain: Extends the note duration.
- Vibrato: Adds vibrato effect to notes.
- One Key: Learning mode where only the correct note plays.
- Follow: Learning mode where the keyboard waits for the correct note.
- Ensemble: Learning mode where the keyboard plays accompaniment.
- Status Memory: Saves and recalls settings.
- Numbers: Numeric keypad for selection.
- Single (Chord): For single-finger chord accompaniment.
- Fingered: For fingered chord accompaniment.
- Chord Tone: Selects chord accompaniment sound.
- Chord OFF: Disables chord accompaniment.
- Metronome: Built-in metronome.
- Start/Stop: Starts or stops rhythms, metronome, or playback.
- Master Volume: Controls overall keyboard volume.
- Accompaniment Volume: Controls the volume of the auto-accompaniment.
- Tempo: Adjusts the tempo for rhythms and metronome.
- Transpose: Shifts the pitch of the keyboard.
- Chord Zone: Area for playing chords.
The rear panel features:
- UDISK: USB port for MP3 playback.
- AUDIO INPUT: For connecting external audio sources.
- MIC: Microphone input.
- PHONES/OUTPUT: Headphone output and audio output.
- DC 12V: Power input.
Preparations
Connect the power adapter to the DC 12V input (43) and a power socket. For external audio output, connect to the PHONES/OUTPUT port (42) using an audio cable. Headphones can also be connected here; this will automatically disable the loudspeakers.
An external audio source can be connected to the AUDIO INPUT (40). A USB flash drive can be connected to the UDISK port (39) for MP3 playback. A dynamic microphone can be connected to the MIC port (41).
Upon powering on the keyboard, initial settings for tempo, volume, and instrument are displayed on the LCD (15). Use the Power button (2) to turn the keyboard on/off.
Operation
Volume Control
Use the Master Volume buttons (+/-) (34) to adjust the overall volume. Use the Accompaniment Volume buttons (+/-) (35) to adjust the accompaniment volume. Pressing both Master Volume and Accompaniment Volume buttons simultaneously resets the volume to the default setting.
Demonstration Songs
Access 50 demo songs (00-49) using the Demo Song button (14). Use the numeric keypad (+/-) (27) to select specific songs. You can select different instrument tones for demo songs using the Instrument button (11) followed by the numeric keypad (+/-). Press Start/Stop (33) or Demo Song (14) again to stop playback.
Key Lighting
The keyboard's keys illuminate to indicate the notes being played during performance or demo songs. This feature can be toggled on/off using the LED Lighting button (13).
Keyboard Features
Tone Selection
The keyboard offers 255 tones (000-254). Select tones by pressing the Instrument/Tone Selection button (11) and then using the numeric keypad (+/-) (27) or the +/- buttons. The default tone is "000" (Piano).
Keyboard Percussion
Choose from 61 percussion instruments. Press the Percussion/Drums button (16) and use the numeric keypad (+/-) to select. Pressing the button again disables the function.
Automatic Rhythm Accompaniment
Select from 255 rhythms (000-254) using the Rhythm Selection button (12) and the numeric keypad (+/-). Start/Stop (33) controls rhythm playback. The 'Sync' button (9) synchronizes the accompaniment to your playing. The 'Fill-in' button (10) adds rhythmic variations. Tempo can be adjusted using the Tempo buttons (+/-) (36).
Metronome
The metronome offers four modes (1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, OFF). Cycle through modes by pressing the Metronome button (32). Start/Stop (33) controls the metronome. Tempo is adjusted via the Tempo buttons (+/-) (36).
Bass Chord Accompaniment
Play bass chord accompaniment using the lower keys (1-19). You can use manual chords or two auto-accompaniment modes: 'Single' (28) and 'Fingered' (29). The Chord Tone button (30) selects the accompaniment sound. 'Chord OFF' (30) disables the function.
Sound Effects and Advanced Functions
Sound Effects
Activate 'Sustain' (21) to sustain notes or 'Vibrato' (22) for a vibrato effect. Pressing the buttons again deactivates the effects.
Transpose
Use the Transpose buttons (+/-) (37) to shift the keyboard's pitch up or down by semitones. Pressing both simultaneously resets to the standard tuning.
Keyboard Split
The Split function (20) divides the keyboard into two sections, allowing different tones to be played simultaneously. The left section retains its original tone, while the right section can be assigned a new tone. Pressing Split (20) again disables the function.
Recording and Playback
Record your playing using the Record button (17). Press Playback (19) to listen to recordings. Pressing Record (17) again or Start/Stop (33) stops recording and removes recorded data.
Rhythm Programming
Create custom rhythms using the Program button (18) and percussion keys. Playback programmed rhythms with the Play button (19). Press Program (18) or Start/Stop (33) to exit.
Learning Functions
The keyboard includes three intelligent training modes:
- One Key: Learn rhythm by playing any key. The keyboard guides you note by note, allowing mistakes without stopping playback.
- Follow: Learn melodies by following the keyboard's guidance. The keyboard waits for you to play the correct note before advancing.
- Ensemble: Learn to play the main melody while the keyboard provides accompaniment. The keyboard will play the correct note if you miss it.
Each learning mode can be started by pressing the respective button (One Key (23), Follow (24), Ensemble (25)) and selecting a demo song. Pressing Start/Stop or the respective function button again exits the mode.
Built-in MP3/USB Player
Play MP3 files from a USB flash drive (up to 32GB) via the UDISK port (39). Use the MP3 Volume control (6) for volume adjustment. Play/Pause (4), Previous/Next (3), and Stop (5) control playback. The 'Playback Mode' button (7) cycles through playback sequences (order, random, single). The 'MP3 Sound Effect' button (8) selects sound profiles (Normal, Rock, POP, Jazz, Classic).
