1. Download APP and Install
- Make sure your mobile device can connect to a network.
- The Tuya smart IP camera supports the "Tuya smart" and "Smart life" apps. You can find them in the app store or scan a QR code to download. For first-time use, please register; otherwise, log in if you already have an account.
- Note: "Tuya smart" and "Smart life" cannot connect to the same device simultaneously.
2. Check Wireless Network
- Ensure the DHCP function of your router is enabled and operating under 2.4 GHz. (5GHz is not supported).
- Make sure your smartphone is connected to the network.
3. Connection Setting
Step 1: Open the Tuya smart APP home page and click the "+" icon in the upper right corner. (This action opens the device selection interface).
Step 2: On the "Security & Sensor" page, choose "Smart Camera". (This navigates to the specific camera category).
4. Add Device
Step 3: On the add device page, ensure the camera is powered on and you hear the prompt tone “Ding ding ding”. If you do not hear the tone, please hold the "Reset" button for 8 seconds to reboot the device, then start again. (This confirms the device is ready for pairing).
Step 4: Input your Wi-Fi password and click "Confirm". (This screen prompts for Wi-Fi credentials). Then, click "Continue" to display a QR code for the camera to scan. (This generates a QR code for pairing).
Step 5: Hold the QR code target in front of the camera about 20-30 cm. After hearing the beep sound, click "Heard the beep". The app will show "Connecting" and proceed to 100% upon successful connection. (This initiates and confirms the connection process).
5. Device Configuration and Usage
Step 6: You can now remotely view the camera feed, set alarms, use two-way speak, or playback recordings. (This describes the live view and control interface). Click the upper right corner icon (three dots) to access device information and basic settings. (This opens the device settings menu).
