1.2 Safety Warning and Attentions
Safety Warning:
- ROAD SAFETY COMES FIRST: Do not use a hand-held phone while driving. Use hands-free fittings when calls are unavoidable. In some countries, using a phone while driving is illegal.
- SWITCH OFF IN AIRCRAFT: Wireless devices can cause interference in aircraft. Using a mobile phone in flight is illegal and risky. Please ensure your mobile phone is powered off during flights.
- SWITCH OFF BEFORE ENTERING RISKY AREAS: Observe relevant laws, codes, and regulations for mobile phone use in risky areas. Turn off your phone before entering places susceptible to explosion, such as gas stations, oil tanks, chemical plants, or areas with blasting processes.
- OBSERVE ALL SPECIAL REGULATIONS: Follow special regulations in areas like hospitals. Switch off your phone when its use is forbidden or may cause interference or danger. Use your phone properly near medical apparatuses like pacemakers, hearing aids, and other electronic medical devices, as it may cause interference.
- INTERFERENCE: Conversation quality may be affected by radio interference. The phone has a built-in antenna below the microphone. Do not touch the antenna area during a conversation to maintain call quality.
- QUALIFIED SERVICE: Only qualified personnel should install or repair phone equipment. Attempting self-repair may be dangerous and violate warranty rules.
- ACCESSORIES AND BATTERIES: Use only approved accessories and batteries.
- USE SENSIBLY: Use the phone in a normal and proper manner.
EMERGENCY CALLS: Ensure the phone is on and in service. Enter the emergency number (e.g., 911) and press Dial. Provide your location and a brief situation description. Do not end the call until instructed. Note: Like other mobile phones, this device may not support all features described due to network or radio transmission issues. Some networks may not support emergency call service. Do not rely solely on this phone for critical communications like first aid. Consult your local network operator.
Precautions:
- Keep the phone and its fittings beyond children's reach.
- Keep the phone dry. Avoid contact with rain, moisture, liquid, or other substances that may corrode electronic circuits.
- Do not use or store the phone in dusty places, as this may damage active parts.
- Do not store the phone in high-temperature places, as high temperatures can shorten the life of electronic circuits and damage the battery and plastic parts.
- Do not store the phone in cold places. Moisture may form inside, damaging electronic circuits when the phone is moved to a constant temperature place.
- Do not throw, knock, or shock the phone, as this can destroy internal circuits and high-precision components.

A SIM card contains your mobile number, PIN, PUK, IMSI, network information, contacts, and messages. After powering off the phone, wait a few seconds before removing or inserting the SIM card. Handle the SIM card with care to avoid friction or bending, which can cause damage. Keep SIM cards out of children's reach.

- Press and hold the power key, then select 'power off'.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Install the SIM card according to the label.
Note: The SD card is a miniature object and should be kept out of children's reach to prevent swallowing.
3.2 Charging the Battery
The phone monitors and displays the battery state via a battery level icon in the upper right corner of the display. When the battery is low, a "Battery low" prompt appears.
Using a travel adapter:
- Install the battery before charging.
- Connect the travel charger adapter to the phone's charging slot, ensuring it is fully inserted.
- Connect the travel charger plug to a power outlet.
During charging, the battery icon's bars flicker until fully charged. The icon stops flickering when charging is complete. Ensure the charger, earphone, and USB cable plugs are inserted correctly. Incorrect insertion may cause charging failure. Verify that the local mains supply voltage and frequency match the charger's rated voltage and power.
Optimizing battery life:
Extend battery life by turning off unused features and monitoring application power consumption. Follow these rules:
- Turn off radios (Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, GPRS) when not in use via the Settings application.
- Lower screen brightness and set a shorter screen timeout.
- Disable automatic syncing for Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, and other applications if not needed.
To view battery usage, go to Home screen > Menu icon > Settings > Battery. The Battery Use screen lists applications by power consumption. The top of the screen shows the time since the last charge or current charge duration. Touching an application provides details on its power consumption.
