Room Thermostat Hysteresis Settings

Hysteresis determines how much the temperature must deviate from the setpoint before the system activates or deactivates. This prevents rapid cycling.

Hysteresis Positive Menu:

The factory setting is 0.5°C, adjustable between 0.1°C and 2.0°C. If the room temperature exceeds the set temperature by the hysteresis positive value (e.g., 22.5°C when set to 22.0°C), the heating unit will stop, or the cooling unit will start.

To adjust:

  1. Turn the device off, then press and hold "ON/OFF" for 3 seconds.
  2. Press "ON/OFF" until the hysteresis positive menu [hysteresis-positive-symbol] appears.
  3. Use "Up" and "Down" buttons to adjust the sensitivity.
  4. Press "ON/OFF" to save and exit (or wait 10 seconds). Changes are saved upon device startup.

Hysteresis Negative Menu:

The factory setting is -0.5°C, adjustable between -0.1°C and -2.0°C. If the room temperature drops below the set temperature by the hysteresis negative value (e.g., 21.5°C when set to 22.0°C), the heating unit will start, or the cooling unit will stop.

To adjust:

  1. Turn the device off, then press and hold "ON/OFF" for 3 seconds.
  2. Press "ON/OFF" until the hysteresis negative menu [hysteresis-negative-symbol] appears.
  3. Use "Up" and "Down" buttons to adjust the sensitivity.
  4. Press "ON/OFF" to save and exit (or wait 10 seconds). Changes are saved upon device startup.

Open Window Detection Feature

This feature detects sudden temperature drops (over 5°C within 15 minutes) and turns off the heating/cooling unit to save energy. In heating mode, if detected, the system enters an alarm state and turns off the heating for 10 minutes, displaying a warning [open-window-detected-warning]. The heating unit reactivates after 10 minutes if the window is closed. If the temperature continues to drop, it turns off again. In cooling mode, sudden temperature rises are considered.

To enable/disable:

  1. Turn the device off, then press and hold "ON/OFF" for 3 seconds.
  2. Press "ON/OFF" until the open window detection menu [open-window-detection-symbol] appears.
  3. Use "Up" or "Down" buttons to select "ON" or "OFF" and press "ON/OFF".
  4. Press "ON/OFF" to save and exit. The setting is saved upon device startup.

Room Thermostat Working Logic

The thermostat uses the average room temperature over the last 40 seconds as a basis for its operation.

Heating Mode Logic:

The heating unit starts when the room temperature drops below the set temperature minus the hysteresis negative value. It stops when the room temperature exceeds the set temperature plus the hysteresis positive value. This maintains the temperature within a defined range.

Example Graph Description: A graph shows room temperature fluctuating around the set temperature. The heating unit turns ON when the temperature drops below the lower hysteresis threshold and turns OFF when it rises above the upper hysteresis threshold.

Cooling Mode Logic:

The cooling unit starts when the room temperature exceeds the set temperature plus the hysteresis positive value. It stops when the room temperature drops below the set temperature minus the hysteresis negative value. This maintains the temperature within a defined range.

Example Graph Description: A graph shows room temperature fluctuating around the set temperature. The cooling unit turns ON when the temperature rises above the upper hysteresis threshold and turns OFF when it drops below the lower hysteresis threshold.

Synchronous Operation and Signal Loss: The thermostat sends status signals to the Receiver every 10 minutes. If the Receiver does not receive a signal for 22 minutes, it assumes a connection break and stops operation for safety. Upon power restoration, the Receiver waits for an 'operate' signal from the thermostat before activating the heating/cooling unit.

Factory Settings Reset

To reset the thermostat to its default factory settings (calibration, modes, hysteresis):

  1. Turn the device off, then press and hold "ON/OFF" for 3 seconds.
  2. Press "ON/OFF" until the reset menu [menu-symbol] appears.
  3. While in the reset menu, select the "reset" option [factory-reset-symbol] using the "Up" or "Down" buttons and press "ON/OFF".
  4. The device will turn off and reset.
