SURFACES:

Wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Never use abrasive detergent, scouring pads, steel wool or solvents on any part of this appliance as this will cause irreparable damage.

ALUMINIUM GREASE FILTERS:

Wash in dishwashers or soak panels in a degreasing agent for an hour, then rinse off and dry before re-installing.

CHARCOAL FILTERS: (optional and not included in package)

(only in re-circulating model): Charcoal cannot be reused. They must be replaced with appropriate types once a year or depending on appliance usage frequency. For this appliance to function effectively, regular maintenance is a must. Clogged filters restrict airflow and may cause the motor to overheat.

5. Installation

1. Use suitable bolts to mount the appliance on a secure surface.

2. The minimum distance between the supporting surface for cooking vessels on the hob and the lowest part of the range hood shall be at least 65 cm. If the range hood is located above a gas appliance, and the gas hob instructions specify a greater distance, this must be taken into consideration.

3. The installation location must have permanent openings for ventilation.

4. Regulations concerning the discharge of air must be fulfilled.

5. It is strongly recommended that the hood be installed directly over the exhaust air from cooking.

6. Do not install the outlet of the pipe in the wind direction, which can prevent exhaust air from flowing backward.

7. Fasten components for the exhaust outlet with screws. To ensure good ejection of exhaust air, the pipe must not be bent too many times.

Diagram Description:

The diagram illustrates typical installation clearances and ducting. It shows distances from the floor to the hob (800-850mm), from the hob to the bottom of the hood (350-400mm), and from the hob to the ceiling (600-800mm). The ducting is shown with a minimum bend radius of 150mm.

Installation (Vent inside)

If you do not have an outlet to the outside, an exhaust pipe is not required, and the installation is similar to the one shown in section "Installation (Vent outside)".

Activated carbon filters can be used to trap odors. To install an activated carbon filter, detach the grease filter first by pressing the lock and pulling it downward. Then, plug the activated carbon filter into the unit and turn it clockwise. Repeat the same on the other side.

Diagram Description:

Diagrams show the process of removing the grease filter by pressing a latch and pulling it down. Subsequent diagrams show the activated carbon filter being inserted and rotated clockwise into place.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Ensure the activated carbon filter is securely locked.
  • When an activated carbon filter is attached, suction power will be lower.
  • Check that the electrical connection corresponds to the electrical requirement on the rating plate inside the cooker hood. The appliance should now be connected to the electrical supply.
  • Check the appliance is operating correctly by selecting each speed and switching the light on and off.
  • To remove the hanging hook and slide the lower chimney section downwards until it rests against the main body of the cooker hood.
  • Use a stainless-steel cleaner and polish on the stainless steel surfaces of the appliance.
  • If using in recirculation mode, install the carbon filter (see "fitting the carbon filter" section on page 21).
  • Every hood has two fixing screws to firmly fix the hood in its place.
