DigiTech Bass Multi Chorus
The Power to Create
Product Overview
DigiTech has long been recognized as a leader in the guitar and bass signal processing industry. The Bass Multi Chorus pedal offers a breakthrough in chorus effect technology, powered by the proprietary AudioDNA™ processor. It is unique in providing up to 16 independent voices of interactive chorusing, delivering a lush wash of modulation that rivals the finest pedal and rack chorus devices.
Controls
The Bass Multi Chorus pedal features four main controls:
- 1. Level Knob: Controls the output level of the effect. Turn clockwise to increase, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- 2. Speed Knob: Controls the rate at which the chorus modulates. Turn clockwise to increase the rate, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- 3. Depth Knob: Controls the depth of the chorus effect. Turn clockwise to increase the depth, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- 4. Voice Knob: Controls the number of chorus voices used. At its minimum, a single voice is heard. As the knob turns clockwise, more voices are added, up to 16 voices interacting at the maximum position.
- 8. Pedal: Press the pedal to turn the effect on and off.
Connections
The pedal has a single input and a pair of outputs:
- 6. Input Jack: Connect your instrument to this 1/4" jack. Connecting a cable here also supplies battery power, even if the Indicator LED is not lit. Disconnect cables when not in use to prolong battery life.
- 9. Out 1 (Mono) Jack: Connect this output to a single bass amplifier or mixer channel panned to the center for mono operation.
- 11. Out 2 Jack: Connect this output to a second amplifier or mixer channel for true stereo chorusing, providing the most effective experience.
- 3. AC Adapter Jack: Connect a DigiTech PS200R power supply to this jack. Ensure you use the correct supply for your area's mains line voltage.
CIT™ Cabinet Modeling
The Bass Multi Chorus includes built-in CIT™ cabinet modeling. This feature is useful for running a distortion pedal into the Bass Multi Chorus and then sending the signal directly to a mixer or recorder. It creates a "through-an-amplifier" sound without needing a bass amp. The CIT model is based on a 4x10 cabinet.
To Enable CIT™ Cabinet Modeling: Press the pedal down and apply power (connect a 1/4" cable to the input or connect the PS200R power supply). CIT™ cabinet modeling must be turned on each time power is applied to the pedal.
Connection Examples
The pedal can be connected in several ways:
A guitar connects to the pedal's Input. The pedal's Out 1 (Mono) connects to an amplifier. Out 2 connects to a second amplifier for stereo. An optional PS200R power supply can power the pedal.
A guitar connects to the pedal's Input. The pedal's Out 1 (Mono) connects to a mixer channel (e.g., BASS). The pedal's Out 2 connects to another mixer channel (e.g., VOC or SYNTH). An optional PS200R power supply can power the pedal.
