Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information to get you started with your Minelab Vanquish 440 and 540 metal detectors.

Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your Vanquish metal detector:
- Attach the Search Coil (2) to the end of the Lower Shaft (3).
- Connect the Search Coil Cable (5) to the Control Box (1).
- Slide the Upper Shaft (4) into the Lower Shaft (3) and adjust to your preferred length using the adjustment mechanism (9).
- Mount the Control Box (1) onto the Upper Shaft (4).
- Secure the Handle Grip (6) and Armrest (8) on the shaft.
- Insert Batteries (7) (4x AA) into the battery compartment on the control box.
- Ensure all components are securely fastened and the shaft is locked in place.

Quick Start
Begin your metal detecting adventure with these simple steps:
- Turn On the detector by pressing the power button (⚡).
- Wait 5 Seconds for the detector to initialize and perform self-tests.
- Start Detecting by selecting a search mode and beginning your sweep.
Search Modes
The Vanquish offers multiple search modes tailored for different environments and targets:
? Coin
Ideal for finding coins in parks and at the beach. This mode is optimized to ignore common trash items.
? Relic
Designed to locate deep relics in fields and forests. It offers sensitivity to larger, older targets.
? Jewellery
Use this mode to recover valuable jewellery, such as rings and necklaces, wherever they may have been lost.
⚙️ Custom
A user-defined mode that can be customized and optimized to suit specific detecting conditions and preferences, helping to reduce unwanted signals.
