Diagrams and Visual Descriptions
Block Diagram (Page 1)
A diagram illustrates the basic connections of the transceiver. It shows inputs for a 13.8V DC power supply (positive and negative terminals), a hand microphone connection, and an antenna interface. The diagram implies these are standard connections for a mobile radio unit.
Rear Panel (Page 2)
The rear panel of the transceiver features the following interfaces:
- EXT.SP: External Speaker Interface: A 3.5mm single-channel plug can be connected here for improved audio output.
- 13.8V DC Power Supply Interface: Connects to a 13.8V DC power source. Ensure the red wire connects to the positive (+) terminal and the black wire to the negative (-) terminal.
- Antenna Interface: For connecting an external antenna with a 50 Ω impedance.
Remote Control Functions
These functions require the frequency writing program and setting an ID code. Different remote control functions require different control codes.
Setup Requirements:
- Open the frequency writing program.
- Connect the vehicle transceiver to a PC using a frequency writing cable (8-pin crystal head into the hand microphone port).
- Set the radio's ID code (main master code).
- Different remote control functions require different control codes.
Remote Functions:
- Alarm: Press [PTT] + 119 (alarming code), then release [PTT]. The controlled party alarms if the code matches. Adding master ID code at the end helps identify the source.
- Remote Stunning: Press [PTT] + #33 (stunning code) + [Master Control ID Code], then release [PTT]. Prohibits the controlled party from transmitting if codes match.
- Remote Shaking: Press [PTT] + #44 (shaking code) + [Master Control ID Code], then release [PTT]. Prohibits the controlled party from receiving and transmitting if codes match.
- Remote Monitoring: Press [PTT] + #22 (monitoring code) + [Master Control ID Code], then release [PTT]. The controlled party transmits automatically and starts monitoring for 7 seconds if codes match.
- Remote Reliving (Stunning/Shaking): Press [PTT] + #77 (opening code) + [Master ID Code], then release [PTT]. Relieves stunning/shaking functions if codes match.
Calling Functions (Requires QT+ANI mode):
- Individual Calling: Press [PTT], input the called party's individual code (e.g., 12345), then release [PTT]. Only the selected radio rings.
- Team Calling: Press [PTT], input [Team Number] + [*] (matching ID code length), then release [PTT]. Radios with the specified team number prefix will ring.
- Selected Calling: Press [PTT], input the called party's individual code from the keyboard (e.g., 12345), then release [PTT]. All selected radios will ring. (Note: This seems to overlap with Individual Calling description).
ANI Code and Control Codes:
ANI code is used for identification. Control codes (like #33, #44, #22, #77) must start with '#'. Master ID code must match the machine's ID code. Control code length should be 3-5 digits. If remote control is not desired, no control code needs to be input.
