Installation Warnings (Reduce Risk of Fire, Electrical Shock, and Injury)
- Place the product away from curtains, draperies, tablecloths, and other fabrics that could be drawn into the product, potentially damaging the motor or causing a fire.
- Do not place the product near furnaces, fireplaces, stoves, or other high-temperature heat sources.
- Do not use the product in a window, on an uneven or unstable surface, or near water.
- Keep the appliance, power supply, power cord, and plug away from water. Do not use on wet surfaces or in a bathtub or shower. Do not position where it may fall into a bathtub, laundry, swimming pool, or other water container.
- Do not use the product outdoors or expose it to weather or elements.
- Do not run the cord under carpeting, throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas and where it won't be tripped over. Ensure the cord does not hang over edges of counters or get crimped/closed in doors. Place the appliance near an easily accessible outlet for quick unplugging in an emergency.
Safe Use Warnings (Reduce Risk of Fire, Electrical Shock, and Injury)
- ⚠️ To reduce the likelihood of circuit overload, fire, and electric shock, do not operate with a solid-state speed device, such as a dimmer control switch.
- Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard or return for repair.
- Do not operate if the unit has been dropped or damaged. Do not use if the power cord or plug is damaged. To avoid electrical shock, do not attempt to repair or replace parts yourself. Only original replacement parts should be used. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard. Contact Vornado Consumer Service for instructions.
- Before plugging in, ensure electrical information on the rating label (including voltage) is compatible with your outlet's power supply.
- Do not sit or stand on the product.
- Never use the cord as a handle or yank, strain, or stretch the power cord.
- While plugged in, do not insert foreign objects into any opening, as this may cause electric shock, fire, or product damage.
- A loose fit between the wall outlet and plug may cause overheating and plug distortion. Discontinue use in that outlet and contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn outlets.
- This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) designed to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
- Before moving, repositioning, servicing, or cleaning, and when not in use, turn off the power using the product controls and unplug. To disconnect, grasp and pull only the plug. Power off and unplug if the product will be unattended for extended periods or during electrical storms.
Servicing Warnings (Reduce Risk of Fire, Electrical Shock, and Injury)
- Clean your product regularly as instructed. Prior to cleaning, turn off and unplug the product. Do not use gasoline, thinners, solvents, ammonias, or other chemicals for cleaning. Refer to the CLEANING instructions.
- Do not open appliance housing while the product is plugged in. To avoid shock, all service and/or repairs must be done by a Vornado Authorized Service Center.
- This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit. If the fuse blows, unplug the product and replace it according to user servicing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating). If the replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present, and the product should be discarded or returned for examination/repair.
User Servicing: Fuse Replacement
- Using the product controls, turn off the appliance.
- Grasp the plug (not the cord) and disconnect from the outlet.
- Risk of Fire: Replace fuse only with a 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse approved by Vornado Consumer Service. Contact Vornado Consumer Service for an authorized replacement fuse.
- Once the replacement fuse is received, use a small flat-head screwdriver to slide open the fuse cover on the plug (Fig. A).
- Remove the fuse by gently lifting each end with the screwdriver (Fig. B).
- Install the replacement fuse by gently pushing each metal end into the receptacle one at a time. Do not push on the center of the fuse, as it is fragile and may break.
- Slide the fuse cover closed using the screwdriver. Ensure the cover fits completely in the plug without sticking out (Fig. C).
- Plug the appliance into the outlet and turn the power on.
- If the replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present. The product should be discarded or returned to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
Attachment Plug Warning: Do not replace the attachment plug. It contains a safety device (fuse, AFCI, LCDI) that should not be removed. Discard the product if the attachment plug is damaged.

Cleaning
Because your Silver Swan fan moves a substantial amount of air, it will need regular cleaning.
⚠️ Warning: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and injury, unplug the circulator before cleaning.
? Tip: The motor is permanently lubricated and requires no oiling.
- Use a vacuum cleaner with brush attachments to clean accumulated dust from the front and rear grilles, and the motor housing.
- Wipe all parts with a clean damp cloth. A mild detergent solution or common household cleaner may be used if necessary. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners, as this may damage the finish.
Grille Removal
Screwdriver required.
⚠️ Warning: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and injury, unplug the circulator before removing the grille.
- Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the grille ring retaining screw located at the six-o'clock position on the grille.
- Remove the front grille and grille ring. ? Tip: Hold the grille when removing the grille ring, as the grille may fall.
- To reinstall the grille:
- Lay the product on a soft surface with the fan blade facing upward.
- Position the grille ring and front grille so the front and back grille align.
- Ensure both grooves on the inside of the grille ring align with the grille.
- Replace the grille-retaining screw and twist until securely tightened.
