Flexit Nordic S2/S3 Air Handling Unit
Quick Guide and Maintenance Information
System Description
The Flexit Nordic S2/S3 unit provides ventilation for the home. It supplies fresh air to living rooms and bedrooms via ceiling-mounted valves. Simultaneously, it extracts used air from areas like the kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and laundry room. The unit features a rotating heat exchanger that recovers approximately 80% of the heat from the extract air and transfers it to the supply air as needed.

Control
The unit can be controlled via the Flexit GO app or the NordicPanel control panel.

It can also be installed on older units manufactured between May 2019 and September 2022 with an optional cable kit. Contact your nearest dealer for more information.
Consequences of Incorrect Operation
Condensation
Moisture is often generated in wet rooms from activities like drying clothes or showering. If the outdoor air is cold, it can cool down walls, causing indoor air moisture to condense on the unit. To prevent this, increase ventilation to maximum during periods of high moisture production. Increased ventilation extracts humid air and replaces it with drier air.
Filters
Old and blocked filters lead to poor ventilation and can cause condensation problems.
New Homes
New homes release significant moisture and gases from materials like textiles, building materials, and paint. This process, known as off-gassing, can cause discoloration of walls and surfaces. Proper ventilation is crucial to manage these issues.
Maintenance
⚠️ DANGER! The unit must be unplugged from the mains before any maintenance is carried out. Wait a few minutes for the fans to stop.
Cleaning the Fans
To maintain fan capacity, they must be kept clean. This is especially important for systems connected to kitchen hoods. Fans should be removed for an annual inspection and cleaned if dirt or grease has accumulated on the fan blades. Clean fan blades with methylated spirits on a cloth or brush, and use compressed air if possible. NB! Ensure the motor is not exposed to water.
Fans
Set the unit to Max and verify that supply air valves are blowing and extract air valves are sucking.
Rotor
The rotor must rotate when heat recovery is needed, for example, when the outdoor temperature is below 10°C. If the rotor malfunctions, an error signal will appear on the control panel. Also, ensure the air intake and exhaust are clear and not blocked by debris like leaves.
Changing the Filters
Filters become gradually blocked depending on the dust load, reducing airflow. Filters must be changed at least once a year, typically in the autumn.
! Both filters (supply air and exhaust air) should be changed at the same time.
