Schneider Electric Easy PDU Installation

Overview

This document outlines the installation procedures for the Easy PDU. Please read these instructions carefully before proceeding. Inspect the package and contents for any shipping damage and report any issues to the shipping agent or Schneider Electric. Shipping materials are recyclable.

Safety Precautions

DANGER: Hazards of Electric Shock, Explosion, or Arc Flash. This unit is for installation and operation by skilled personnel in a controlled environment. Never operate with covers removed. Use only in indoor, dry locations. Always plug into a grounded power outlet with appropriate branch circuit protection. Do not use extension cords or adapters. Avoid working alone under hazardous conditions. Disconnect power before making connections. Use one hand when connecting signal cables to avoid shock. High leakage current is possible; attach a ground wire if total leakage exceeds 3.5 mA. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or serious injury.

Installation Options

Option 1: Vertical Installation with Brackets

Install the provided brackets to the Rack PDU using M3 x 12 screws. Then, secure the PDU to the rack using the provided M5 x 10 mm self-tapping screws.

Option 2: Toolless Mounting Pegs

Slide the pre-installed mounting pegs into the rack channels and push the PDU downward until it locks into place. Ensure the power cord plug remains accessible and connected to a grounded outlet.

Note: For side-by-side installation in NetShelter SX enclosures, EPDU-BRKT is recommended.
