Avoiding Legal Issues

Before installation, check all European, national, and local laws. It is the user's responsibility to comply with all applicable laws regarding the use of electronic devices while driving.

⚠️ CAUTION!

Before installation, disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery to prevent electrical damage. Avoid any airbag wiring from the manufacturer – airbags may deploy accidentally, causing serious injury or death.

  • Prevent any contact of liquid or moisture with the device.
  • Do not expose the NEXC1 to open flame, as it may be damaged.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Power Cable Routing Solutions

❗ IMPORTANT! Read before routing the cable

To prevent potential damage to the power cable, mount and position the camera on the vehicle's windshield facing the direction you want to record before connecting and routing the power cable.

Option 1: Cable Routing with Panel Removal

(For vehicles without pillar airbags)

  1. Thoroughly clean and dry the windshield areas where the adhesive camera mount will be attached.
  2. Mount the camera assembly onto the windshield.
  3. Plan your cable routing, referring to the illustration above.
  4. Using the panel removal tool, carefully remove any necessary panels for your chosen cable route. Use clips to secure the cable within the headliner. (Note: Clips are not provided; it is recommended to explore your vehicle beforehand.)
  5. Connect the power cable to the camera, then route the cable from the camera to the 12-volt source. Use the cable clips to secure the cable routing near the camera. (Note: Adhesive mounting clips for securing the power cable can be placed discreetly for a cleaner look. Secure the cable using loops and straps.)
  6. Reassemble the panels in reverse order, hiding any excess coiled cable.

Option 2: Cable Routing Using Adhesive Clips

(For vehicles with pillar airbags)

  1. Thoroughly clean and dry the windshield areas where the adhesive camera mount and the adhesive clips for holding the power cable will be attached.
  2. Mount the camera assembly onto the windshield.
  3. Plan your cable routing, referring to the illustration on the previous page.
  4. Connect and route the cable from the camera to the 12-volt socket under the roofliner, along the edge of the windshield and near the panels/trim.
  5. Route the USB cable using the provided adhesive rubber clips. If more clips are needed, use any of the remaining cut adhesive clips to help secure the cable in place.

How to Route the Power Cable?

Removable Adhesive Clips and Adhesive Cable Ties

Use the removable adhesive clips and adhesive cable ties to route the cable from the camera to the 12V power source (recommended for Option 2), as illustrated on the previous page.

Cable Reinforcement, Cable Ties, and Rubber Bands

USB cable reinforcement prevents the cable from slipping under the headliner. Use the included cable ties and rubber bands to secure excess cable or to fasten it along existing vehicle cable routing.
