Standard Installation Helpful Tips
- A minimum 6" (15.2 cm) finished return matching cabinet exterior is recommended on all sides and top at the front of the opening.
- Trimmed refrigerators are designed to be customized with decorative panels. Field-installed 3/4" custom door panels are required.
- Trim Kit Details: 36" Trim Kit for 24" deep cabinets (ZKW36V).
- Maximum total panel weight:
- Fresh Food Door - 20.7 lbs.
- Convertible Drawer - 7.6 lbs.
- Freezer Drawer - 17.2 lbs.
- Note: For panels constructed with rails and stiles (5-panel), the rails must be a minimum of 3" wide and stiles must be a minimum of 4.5" wide.
- For Custom Panels: Use templates provided with units to pre-drill holes for mounting panel brackets. Adjustment screws and instructions are also provided.
- Custom Panels require a custom handle from the cabinetmaker or the ZKPN Handle Mounting Kit, which is required when using Statement or Minimalist handles (sold separately). Panel routing is required to use the ZKPN kit; refer to ZKPN kit installation instructions.
