Installation Guide and Technical Specifications
Product Overview
This document provides installation instructions and technical details for the Aurora EN-DLB series of LED downlights. The range includes models such as EN-DLB071D, EN-DLB071DV, EN-DLB071DDA, EN-DLB072D, EN-DLB072DV, EN-DLB072DDA, EN-DLB101D, EN-DLB101DV, EN-DLB101DDA, EN-DLB102D, EN-DLB102DV, and EN-DLB102DDA.
These luminaires are rated IP44 and are Class II, meaning they are double insulated and do not require an earth connection.
Installation Requirements
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with the latest edition of the National Wiring Regulations.
Mains Supply Voltage: 220-240V AC.
Dimming Compatibility: Models EN-DLB071D, EN-DLB072D, EN-DLB101D & EN-DLB102D are triac dimmable. The range also supports 1-10V Dimming and DALI Dimming.
Usage: These luminaires are for indoor use only.
Environmental Suitability: The luminaires are IP44 rated and protected against splashing water. They are suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2, except in locations where water jets are likely.
Maintenance: There are no replaceable parts in this luminaire. This luminaire is not suitable for covering with insulation material.
Wiring and Installation Diagrams
Diagram 1 & 6: Illustrates ON/OFF switch positions.
Diagram 2: Shows required dimensions: minimum thickness t ≥ 10mm, cutout diameter Ø between 70mm and 72mm, and a minimum clearance of 25mm.
Diagram 3: Specifies model-dependent cutout sizes: EN-DLB071D - 75mm, EN-DLB072D - 90mm, EN-DLB101D - 85mm, EN-DLB102D - 105mm.
Diagram 4A: Connect Non-Dimmable LED driver to mains using a suitable Junction Box (Supplied by other). Wiring details: Brown - (L) Live, Blue - (N) Neutral.
Diagram 4B: 1-10 V Dimming wiring. Connections: Live (Brown) to Dim+, Neutral (Blue) to Dim-, LED- to LED-, LED+ to LED+.
Diagram 4C: DALI Dimming wiring. Connections: Live (Brown) to DA+, Neutral (Blue) to DA-, LED- to LED-, LED+ to LED+.
Diagram 5: Depicts the luminaire being installed into a ceiling.
Driver Wiring: Refer to diagrams 4A, 4B, or 4C for driver wiring. The luminaire requires a 240V Mains Input.
Important Notes and Warnings
PIR Compatibility: Please note that these luminaires may not be compatible with all PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors. Contact the sales office for compatibility information.
Circuit Loading: It is not recommended to mix LED circuits with products such as extractor fans. This is due to the sensitive nature of LEDs and is not specific to this product.
Environmental Protection and Guarantee
Environmental Protection (W.E.E.E.): Aurora complies with Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Regulations (WEEE). Products marked with the WEEE symbol must not be disposed of with household or commercial waste. Customers are advised to separate WEEE products and recycle them responsibly at local facilities. Aurora does not levy WEEE disposal charges to its customers for affected products.
Guarantee: This product is guaranteed for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase. The guarantee is invalid in cases of improper use, installation, tampering, removal of the QC date label, installation in an improper working environment, or installation not according to the current edition of the National Wiring Regulations. Should the product fail during the guarantee period, it will be replaced free of charge, subject to correct installation and return of the faulty unit. Aurora does not accept responsibility for any installation costs associated with the replacement of this product. This warranty is in addition to the statutory rights in your country of purchase. Aurora reserves the right to alter specifications without prior notice.
