Transmitter (TX4 Pro) Components
The TX4 Pro transmitter features:
- 1. Microphone input: Connect the supplied lavalier microphone here. Ensure the 3.5mm plug is fully inserted and clicks into place.
- 2. Line In
- 3. Power LED: Flashes blue when the unit is on. Glows red when power is low.
- 4. Power OFF/ON: Switch to turn the unit on or off.
- 5. Pair Button: Used for connecting signals. Refer to "How to connect transmitter and receiver" for details.
- 6. Antenna: Built-in internal antenna. Avoid touching during use as it may affect signal.
- 7. Battery compartment: Accommodates two AAA batteries.

Receiver (RX4 Pro) Components
The RX4 Pro receiver features:
- 1. Earphone Jack: A 3.5mm diameter stereo mini jack ? to monitor receiver output by connecting headphones. Note: Do not connect headphones with a monaural mini jack to avoid short-circuiting and distorted sound.
- 2. LINE OUT (audio output) Jack:
- For cameras, camcorders, audio recorders, and other audio/video recording devices: Connect one end of the supplied TRS stereo 3.5mm mini output cable here, and the other end to the device's audio input.
- For smartphones, tablets, or Macs with a combo headphone/Mic jack: Connect one end (90° plug) of the supplied TRRS stereo 3.5mm mini output cable here, and the other end (straight plug) to the device's audio jack.
- 3. Power LED: Refer to the LED indicator table for status.
- 4. Power OFF/ON: Switch to turn the unit on or off.
- 5. Volume +/-: Buttons ➕➖ to set the attenuation level of the input signal.
- 6. Antenna: Built-in internal antenna. Avoid touching during use as it may affect signal.
- 7. Battery compartment: Accommodates two AAA batteries.
- 8. Clip: For mounting the receiver.

Connector Types: TRRS vs. TRS
Understanding the difference between TRRS and TRS connectors is crucial for proper connection:
- 3.5 mm TRRS connector: Used for Smartphones, tablets, Macs, or laptops with a combo headphone/Mic jack. Connects to the receiver's "LINE OUT" jack.
- 3.5 mm TRS connector: Used for cameras, camcorders, audio recorders, and other audio/video recording devices. Connects to the receiver's "LINE OUT" jack.

Setup Guide: Connecting and Pairing
Installing Batteries
- Both transmitter and receiver require two AAA size batteries.
- Slide and remove the battery compartment cover on the transmitter.
- Insert two AAA batteries.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
- Repeat steps 2-4 for the receiver.
Connecting to Devices
Using with Smartphones, Tablets, Macs, or Laptops:
- Mount the receiver to your smartphone, tablet, Mac, or laptop.
- Using the 3.5mm TRRS cable, plug the straight plug into your device's audio jack.
- Insert the 90° plug of the connecting cable into the receiver's "LINE OUT" jack.
- Connect headphones ? to the receiver's headphone jack for monitoring sound, if needed.
- Slide the power ON/OFF switch ▶️ to the ON position. The LED indicator should light up blue.
Note: Some Android devices may require a third-party app to use an external microphone for video recording.
Using with Cameras, Camcorders, or Audio Recorders:
- Mount the receiver to your camera, camcorder, or audio recording device.
- Using the 3.5mm TRS cable, plug one end into the device's audio jack.
- Insert the other end of the connecting cable into the receiver's "LINE OUT" jack.
- Connect headphones ? to the receiver's headphone jack for monitoring sound, if needed.
- Slide the power ON/OFF switch ▶️ to the ON position. The LED indicator should light up blue.
Pairing Transmitters and Receivers
Before leaving the factory, transmitters and receivers are pre-paired. If they become disconnected, follow these steps:
- Turn on the transmitter and the receiver.
- For the receiver, long press the "Pair" button (using a pairing pin if necessary) for 3 seconds. The receiver's indicator will flash quickly, entering pairing mode.
- For the transmitter, long press the "Pair" button on its side for 3 seconds, entering pairing mode.
- When the transmitter and receiver connect successfully, the receiver's light will stay blue, and the transmitter's light will flash every 2.5 seconds.
- If there are multiple transmitters, repeat steps 2-4 for each additional transmitter.
Note: If the units do not connect, their lights will flash continually every 1 second. Try the pairing steps again.
Installing or Uninstalling Clip
The clip ? is mounted on the microphone before leaving the factory. Both transmitter and receiver include a clip, allowing flexible mounting. Adjust the microphone's direction towards your mouth by rotating it.
Mounting Receiver to Camera Hot/Cold Shoe
- Push the receiver's clip ? to the right side.
- Slide the cold shoe mount ? onto the desired position.
- Mount the receiver onto the camera's hot/cold shoe.
Receiver (BY-WM4 RXD) for iOS Devices
The BY-WM4 RXD is a wireless receiver designed for iOS devices with a Lightning connector ⚡.
