Founded in 1992 and located in Lohra-Altenvers, SAMCON Prozessleittechnik GmbH has 18 employees specializing in the development, production, and sale of camera and communication systems for hazardous areas. Managed by Steffen Seibert and Roger Thoms, the company adheres to quality management standards including 2014/34/EU (ATEX), ISO 9001:2015, and IECEx QAR. ExCam Series: High Quality Cameras for Hazardous Areas

The ExCam Series offers a range of video cameras approved for dust and gas explosion risk zones, as well as mining, certified according to EU Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX), IECEx Schema, and EAC-Ex. The series is known for its modular design, allowing flexible assembly of explosion-proof cameras. It includes analog cameras with varifocal lenses, motor-zoom cameras with IR cut filters, and digital network cameras with resolutions exceeding FullHD.
