Installation Guide
Tools Needed
- 1-1/4" (32mm) hole saw
- 1" (26mm) boring bit
- 7/64" (2.5mm) drill bit
- Chisel & Hammer ??
- #2 Philips screwdriver ?
Door Prep
Ensure door is prepared prior to installation. Refer to provided template for drilling.
Hole dimensions:
- Primary hole: 2-1/8" (54mm)
- Boring bit hole: 1" (26mm)
- Drill bit hole: 7/64" (2.5mm)
Preparing for Installation
A. Measure the dimension of the hole shown.
B. Is door edge chiseled? YES / NO
C. Adjust the latchbolt.
Measure to confirm backset is either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60 or 70 mm). Backset is the distance from door edge to the center of the hole on the door face.
Note: The bolt must be in the retracted (unlocked) position when changing backset.
Backset Adjustment:
- 2-3/8" (60mm)
- 2-3/4" (70mm)
Installation Steps
Install Latch
Note: Slant of latch bolt faces door frame with door opened.
Insert latch into the door edge. Ensure the bolt is in the retracted (unlocked) position.
If needed, chisel the door edge for the strike plate.
Install Strike Plate
Note: Make sure the hole in the door frame is drilled a minimum of 1" (25 mm) deep.
Attach the strike plate to the door frame.
Install Exterior Keypad Assembly
Feed the cable and connector through the hole in the door.
Mount the exterior keypad assembly.
Install Interior Mounting Plate and Connect Cables
Position the interior mounting plate by routing the cable and connector through the mounting plate's cable hole.
Secure both assemblies using the mounting screws.
Note: Cable must go through the door hole over the latch.
Connect both cable connectors. Push the connector in firmly until fully seated.
Install Interior Assembly
Install the interior assembly onto the inside mounting plate.
Use the two cover screws to secure the interior assembly.
Install Batteries and Test
Install 4x AA batteries ? and the battery cover.
Test the Lock: Test with the door opened to avoid accidental lockout.
- Lock: Press any one button for 2 seconds.
- Unlock: Enter default master code (12345678) + Kaadas button, then rotate the knob to open.
How to Use
Unlock the door from outside
- Method 1: Rotate the knob to open the door.
- Method 2: Insert the backup key ? and rotate it. Rotate the knob to open the door.
Lock the door from outside
- Method 1. Auto Lock: Auto Lock is enabled by default and locks in 30 seconds. (See Quick Set Up for changing auto lock time).
- Method 2. One-touch Locking: Press any one button on the keypad for 2 seconds.
Unlock the door from inside
- Method 1: Rotate the thumb turn to horizontal status. Rotate the knob to open the door.
Lock the door from inside
- Rotate the thumb turn to vertical status.
Restore to Factory Default
This procedure will:
- Delete all user codes and settings.
- If auto lock was enabled, it remains functional with the same delay time.
- If auto lock was disabled, it will be enabled with a 30-second delay.
Procedure:
- While the door is OPENED, load 3 AA batteries ? into the battery compartment.
- Press and hold the Reset button. Do not release until you hear beeps.
- Place the 4th battery and keep holding the reset button until you complete the next step.
Quick Set Up
Important: Each programming step must be completed within 5 seconds. 5 rapid beeps indicate an error or timeout; restart the process.
Change Master Code
The default master code is 12345678. It must be changed before programming.
Sequence: Kaadas + Master Code + Kaadas + 1 + New Master Code + Enter New Code Again
Add User Code
Up to 20 user codes can be stored.
Sequence: Kaadas + Master Code + Kaadas + 2 + New User Code + Enter New User Code Again
Delete User Code
Sequence: Kaadas + Master Code + Kaadas + 3 + Unwanted User Code
Enable Silent Mode
Mutes keypad beeps, but system alerts remain.
Sequence: Kaadas + Master Code + Kaadas + 4 + 2
Disable Silent Mode
Sequence: Kaadas + Master Code + Kaadas + 4 + 1
Enable Auto Lock
Automatically locks the deadbolt 30 seconds after unlocking. This feature is on by default.
Sequence: Kaadas + Master Code + Kaadas + 5 + 1
Disable Auto Lock
Sequence: Kaadas + Master Code + Kaadas + 5 + 2
Set Auto Lock Time Delay
Set delay between 10 and 99 seconds.
Sequence: Kaadas + Master Code + Kaadas + 8 + Enter new duration time (10-99)
Add One-Time Code
This code can only be used once and is automatically deleted after use.
Sequence: Kaadas + Master Code + Kaadas + 7 + New User Code + Enter New User Code Again
Vacation Mode
Security feature for extended absences. Restricts all user codes until the master code is entered. Unlocking via thumb turn triggers an alarm.
Sequence: Kaadas + Master Code + Kaadas + 6
Safety Warnings
- Protect your User Codes and Master Code.
- Restrict access to the lock's interior assembly and routinely check settings for unauthorized alterations.
- Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure continued functionality.
- Do not apply cleaner or detergent directly to any part of the lock.
- The lock meets IP54 water-resistance. It withstands splashes but is not waterproof. Do not let water or liquids enter the lock.
- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, as long-term exposure may damage the lock.
- The operating temperature range is between -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 55°C).

Definition
- A. Master Code
- Used for programming and feature settings. It also unlocks the lock. The default master code is 12345678. It must be changed before programming.
- B. Code Format
- Code is 4-10 digits.
- Master and user codes do not support:
- a. Forward number sequence (e.g., 123456789)
- b. Backward number sequence (e.g., 987654321)
- c. Repeat number sequence (e.g., 22222222)
- d. Containing existing code sequences (e.g., if 5683 is used, 568391 is invalid).
- C. Wrong Entry
- After 10 unsuccessful attempts to enter a valid PIN code, the unit will shut down for 3 minutes.
- D. Unlock with Fake Code
- Users can prevent PIN code exposure by entering random digits before or after the actual PIN code (e.g., 83618 137192 14710).
- E. Battery Indicator
- 10 beeps with 10 red flashes after pressing any key or operating the lock indicate low batteries. All settings are retained in memory when batteries are removed and replaced.
- F. Key Override
- Used for access when batteries are dead or no valid code is known. Keep at least one backup key ? in a secure location.
- To Unlock with Key:
- 1. Insert key into cylinder.
- 2. Rotate key 90° counterclockwise to unlock.
- 3. Rotate key 90° back to remove.
- To Lock with Key:
- 1. Insert key into cylinder.
- 2. Rotate key 90° clockwise to lock.
- 3. Rotate key 90° back to remove.
