1. Cautions
This section contains important information to ensure the user's safety and prevent potential damage to property. Please, read this section carefully and use the product accordingly.
- Master PIN Code: Default Master PIN code is
12345678
. Please modify it immediately. - User PIN Code: Can be 6-12 digits. You can register up to 10 users.
- User Number 00-04: Normal User (Permanent)
- User Number 05-08: Temporary User (Invalid after one use or in safety mode)
- User Number 09: Duress User (Works with wireless module when duress event occurs)
- Card: Optional. Maximum capacity is 100 with user numbers 00-99.
- Fingerprint: Maximum capacity is 100 with user numbers 00-99.
- Ensure correct pole (+/-) alignment when installing batteries.
- Replace all batteries immediately after they run out of power, and never mix new batteries with used ones.
2. Overview
The Kaadas K9 smart lock consists of the following main components:
- Outside Escutcheon: Features the touch keypad, card reader, and fingerprint sensor.
- Inside Escutcheon: Includes the battery cover, OPEN/CLOSE button, and safe handle.
- Bottom View: Houses the emergency power port, reboot button, and mechanical cylinder.
- Lock Body: Contains the deadbolt, shaft, sensor latch, and key override mechanism.

4. Before Installation
4.1 Confirm Open Direction
This product can be installed on left-in, left-out, right-in, and right-out doors.

4.2 Change Open Direction
Please change the position of screws according to the open direction.

4.3 Screw Pack Selection
1. Please choose the correct screw pack according to your door thickness.
2. The default screw pack is for door thickness 38-60mm. Please contact our dealer if another screw pack is required.
5. Installation
- Mark and drill bores using the installation template first, then fix the mortise into the door frame.
- Tighten the 4 screws to fix the mortise on the door.
Notice: Keep the deadbolt inside the lock body during installation.
- Fix 5 screw bolts on the front escutcheon. Place the square shaft and pressure spring into the bore. The spring's larger end should point downwards.
- Pass the connecting wire through the top bore. Align and insert the square shaft into the mortise holes to make the front escutcheon sit closely against the door.
- Install the mounting plate with fixing screws tightly against the door surface.
- Place the square shaft into the back escutcheon in the proper order. Align and insert the connecting wires into the sockets of the back escutcheon. Then, align and insert the square shaft into the mortise hole, making the back escutcheon sit closely against the door.
- Tighten the 2 fixing screws.
- Install the batteries and the battery cover. Cover the rubber plug, then install the striker assembly to finish installation.
- Note: After installing the striker assembly, check if the lock operates smoothly by opening/closing the door.
- Note: Test if the mechanical key operates smoothly after installation.
- Check the push-pull handle, safe handle switch, and mechanical key for proper operation.
6. How to Set Up Your Product
6.1 Access Master Mode
- Touch the keypad area to light up the number pad.
- Press
[*]
twice, then enter the master PIN code (default is12345678
) followed by[#]
. A voice prompt will say "Master mode".
Note: Changing the master PIN code is required immediately for menu operation.

Notes:
- You can operate following the voice guide.
- The length of both master PIN code and user PIN code is 6-12 digits.
- Enter

to get the Serial Number.
6.3 User Settings Details
6.3.1 Enroll User PIN Code
- Access master mode.
- Press
[1]
for User Setting, then press[1]
to enroll user PIN code. - Enter a 2-digit user number (00-09) and confirm with
[#]
. - Enter the user PIN code (6-12 digits) and confirm with
[#]
. Repeat the PIN code entry. - A voice prompt of "settings succeed" will confirm the operation.
Notes:
- User Number 00-04: Normal User
- User Number 05-08: Temporary User
- User Number 09: Duress User
6.3.2 Enroll Fingerprint (Optional)
- Access master mode.
- Press
[1]
for User Setting, then press[2]
to enroll fingerprint. - Enter a 2-digit user number (00-99) and confirm with
[#]
. - Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor, then remove your finger after the voice prompt "Remove finger and scan again".
- Repeat the previous step multiple times until the voice prompt "settings succeed".
Notes:
- User Number 00-94: Regular fingerprint
- User Number 95-99: Duress fingerprint
6.3.3 Enroll Card
- Access master mode.
- Press

for User Setting, then press[3]
to enroll user card. - Enter a 2-digit user number (00-99) and confirm with

. - Place the card on the card icon area until a beep sound and the voice prompt "settings succeed".
