Road Safety
Always observe road safety notes: use the car radio to complement driver safety. Park when operating the unit. Avoid distracting applications (e.g., streaming) while driving. Navigation routes should comply with traffic regulations; local signs prevail. Keep volume moderate for ear protection and to hear warning signals (sirens). Do not increase volume while muted, as it may be too loud when unmuted.
General Safety Notes
For protection against injuries: intended for 12V/24V vehicle systems, must be installed in a DIN slot. Observe output limits. Do not dismantle or modify; installation and repairs should be performed by a specialist. Blaupunkt is not liable for loss or damage from unauthorized modifications. Do not operate under extreme temperatures (-20°C to 80°C). Refer to "Troubleshooting" for abnormalities; press Reset for factory settings if needed. Not all media file formats, codecs, or parameters are guaranteed to play. CAN-Bus functions may vary by car configuration. Use only a dry or slightly moistened cloth for cleaning; avoid solvents, cleaning agents, or dashboard spray that can damage the surface and screen. This manual may be updated without notice.

Device Controls
Descriptions of buttons on the main unit:
- 1 Microphone
- 2 Turn knob: Turn left/right to decrease/increase volume.
- 3 Menu Button: Press to enter settings. Press again to select BAS, TRE, BAL, FAD, EQ, LOUD, LOC, STEREO. Turn knob to adjust.
- 4 Mode Button: Press to switch between RADIO, PHONE, DISC, USB, SD, AUX-IN. Press and hold for clock setting. Press to end call.
- 5 Power Button: Press to turn on or off.
- 6 Mute Button: Press to mute or unmute.

- 14-18 Buttons: Functions vary by mode (Radio, Playback, External Screen). In Radio mode, use digits to select stations or press and hold to save. In Playback mode, functions include skipping tracks, pause/play, shuffle, folder navigation, and track preview.
- 19-23 Buttons: Further functions for Radio mode (band selection, auto scan), Playback mode (manual selection), and Phone (BT) mode (return to song beginning, skip track, fast reverse). Button 22 displays time or adjusts time settings. Button 23 selects radio bands (FM1-FM2-FM3-AM1-AM2) or enters manual selection for playback.

- 1 MODE: Switch between Radio, USB, CARD, AV-IN, DVD.
- 2 Power Button: Press to turn on or press and hold to turn off.

Bluetooth Pairing
Pre-pair Bluetooth: Ensure the mobile phone supports Bluetooth function before pairing. For best connection, the recommended distance range is 3m without any object obstruction.
Pairing: Turn on the mobile phone's Bluetooth and set it up (refer to the mobile phone's instruction manual). "CARACAS 120" should appear on the available Bluetooth scanning list. Select "CARACAS 120". Pairing is successful when the phone's Paired Device list shows "Connected" under CARACAS 120.
Troubleshooting
If any of the following problems occur, please refer to the troubleshooting solutions. Consult a Blaupunkt authorized dealer if a problem persists.

Installation Instructions
Safety
Assign a mounting location that will not obstruct the driver in any circumstances or cause injuries to drivers and passengers in case of emergency brake or accidents. Ensure all wires are connected properly, and that the unit is functioning well before fitting the unit into the mount. Any unauthorized installation and modification may cause malfunction to the unit. Always use the parts that are included with the units only.
Caution
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery (Refer to vehicle manufacturer's safety instructions). Be wary to not damage vehicle components when drilling holes. Make sure you do not damage vehicle components when drilling any holes. The cross sections of the positive and negative cables must not be less than 1.5 mm². Do not connect the vehicle's plug connectors to the radio! Your vehicle may differ from the description provided here. Blaupunkt is not liable in case any damage caused by incorrect installation or connection. Please contact Blaupunkt dealers or vehicle's manufacturer if information provided here does not fit your specific installation requirement. When installing an amplifier, first connect the device ground connections before connecting the plugs for the line-out jacks. Ground connection of external devices may not be connected to ground of car sound system (housing).
Supplied Mounting Hardware
The package includes a mounting kit, installation keys, trim ring, and mounting bar, along with other necessary hardware.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Install the mounting kit into the dashboard aperture. (Diagram shows a sleeve-like bracket being inserted).
Step 2: Insert the main unit into the installed mounting kit. (Diagram shows the car stereo unit sliding into the bracket).
Step 3: Secure the unit. (Diagram shows release keys being inserted into the front of the unit to lock it in place, or clips on the bracket).
Step 4: A specific mounting method is shown for Japanese cars, but actual mounting depends on car type and provided parts.
Dismantle Instruction
Steps for removing the unit:
Step 1: Remove the trim ring. (Diagram shows a trim piece being pulled away from the front of the unit).
Step 2: Insert release keys into the slots on the front of the unit. (Diagram shows two keys being inserted into the sides of the unit).
Step 3: Pull the unit out of the dashboard. (Diagram shows the unit being pulled forward).
Step 4: Disconnect the battery (negative terminal first) before dismantling. (Diagram shows a car battery with a cable being disconnected from the negative terminal).
