-
Connect your device (computer, smartphone, etc.) to the extender's new WiFi network. The extender creates a new WiFi network name based on your host WiFi network name, appending "–EXT2G" for the 2.4GHz band or "–EXT5G" for the 5GHz band.
Example:
- Host WiFi network name: YourNetworkName
- New extended WiFi network name: YourNetworkName-EXT2G or YourNetworkName-EXT5G
Use the same WiFi password as your host WiFi router.
-
Relocate the extender halfway between your router and the WiFi dead zone. Find a good location to plug it in, guided by the LED indicator.
Visual Description: A diagram shows the optimal placement of the extender between the router and client devices, in the 'Halfway' zone.
LED Indicator Guide:
- Red Flash: Connecting / not connected to host Wi-Fi
- Solid Red: Connected, signal is weak
- Solid Purple: Connected, signal is fair
- Solid Blue: Connected, signal is strong
