HIOKI Battery Tester BT3554-50
Streamline UPS and lead-acid battery diagnostics with measurement and recording guidance.
Key Features
- Measurement navigator: Provides audio guidance for efficient battery testing.
- Streamlined data management: Easily manage measurement data and profiles with the latest software.
- Fast measurement: From measurement to recording in as fast as 2 seconds.
Accurate Lead-Acid Battery Assessment
The BT3554-50 utilizes proprietary technology to accurately assess lead-acid battery deterioration via the impedance method. This allows for diagnostics while the battery is connected to its host device, without requiring it to be taken offline. Advanced noise reduction technology ensures precise measurements even in electrically noisy environments.
Enhanced Measurement and Data Management
The device offers intuitive measurement guidance and robust data management capabilities through its compatibility with the GENNECT Cross mobile app. When paired, the app provides audio cues for the next battery to be measured, minimizing errors. Users can pre-configure measurement locations and battery numbers, creating profiles that link measurement data and diagnostic results, simplifying the management of large-scale battery diagnostic projects.

Operating Precautions
Pass/fail judgment threshold values are dependent on battery manufacturer, type, and capacity. It is recommended to measure a new or known-good battery first to establish baseline internal resistance and terminal voltage. Detecting deterioration in sealed lead-acid batteries may be challenging due to smaller variations in internal resistance compared to open or alkaline lead-acid batteries.
