General Safety Information

About Your Child: Never leave your child unattended. Avoid bulky clothing that can interfere with harness fit. Children with special needs may require consultation with a healthcare provider.

About Your Vehicle: Proper installation is crucial. Always read your vehicle owner's manual. Rear seats are statistically the safest location for children. Avoid seats with active airbags.

About the Car Seat: Replace the seat and base after any accident, even minor ones. Do not use if damaged or broken. Do not use after seven (7) years from the date of manufacture.

Using as a Carrier: Never leave the carrier unattended. Ensure it is on a firm, flat surface. Avoid soft surfaces like beds or sofas. Be aware of fall risks from elevated surfaces. Ensure harness straps are snug to prevent strangulation.

Choosing the Best Location

Rear seating positions are safest. The center rear seat is recommended. If the front seat must be used, ensure there are no active airbags and slide the vehicle seat as far back as possible.

Vehicle Seat Belt Compatibility: Ensure your vehicle's seat belt system is compatible and can be securely fastened. Consult your vehicle manual for details. Certain seat belt systems may not be safe for use with this car seat.

Car Seat Features

5-Point Harness: Features harness slots, straps, buckle, chest clip, and adjustment points for a secure fit.

Base: Designed for installation with vehicle seat belt or LATCH system. Includes angle indicators and an adjustable foot for proper recline.

Handle: Ergonomic design with multiple positions (Rebond, Transport, Storage). Always use in Rebond position when in the vehicle.

Canopy: Provides shade and attaches to the handle.

Inserts: Optional inserts for infants weighing 4-18 lbs.

Installation Instructions

Preparation: Park on a level surface. Verify the angle indicator. Choose a safe location, avoiding active airbags.

Installation with Vehicle Seat Belt: Thread the seat belt through the correct belt path. Buckle securely and tighten the belt firmly. Ensure there is no slack.

Installation with LATCH System: Locate LATCH anchors in your vehicle. Connect LATCH connectors to the anchors and tighten the strap securely.

Recline Angle: Ensure the correct recline angle using the angle indicator for the child's weight. Use the adjustable foot or approved aids (like a pool noodle) if necessary to achieve the correct angle.

Using the Harness

Attaching Your Child: Ensure harness straps are at the correct height (at or below the shoulders). Dress the child appropriately. Tighten harness straps snugly, ensuring no slack. The chest clip should be at armpit level.

Adjusting Harness: Follow steps to adjust shoulder strap height and crotch strap length for a secure fit.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning: Wipe hard surfaces with mild soap and water. Do not use bleach. Harness straps can be spot cleaned with mild soap and water; do not wash straps as they may weaken. Contact Baby Trend for replacement parts.
