Polar Patterns
Cardioid Polar Pattern: This pattern is most sensitive to sound arriving from the front of the microphone and rejects sound from the sides and rear. It is ideal for capturing focused audio sources like a single voice or instrument, minimizing background noise.
Omnidirectional Polar Pattern: This pattern picks up sound equally from all directions around the microphone. It captures a natural blend of voice and ambient sound, and is less sensitive to handling noise or plosives compared to directional patterns.
