How to Use It
Installing Battery
To install the battery:
- Push the battery compartment button and pull the compartment out.
- Insert one AAA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - symbols match the compartment markings).
- Close the battery compartment.

Mounting the Microphone
Using the microphone with cameras, camcorders, audio recorders, PCs
1. Lock the microphone onto the camera's hot shoe mount by loosening the locking knob, sliding the microphone's cold shoe mount onto the camera, and then tightening the locking knob.
2. Plug the 3.5 mm TRS connector into the audio input jack of your device (audio recorder, amplifier, PC, laptop).

Using the microphone with a Smartphone, tablet or Mac
1. Plug the 3.5 mm TRRS connector into the audio jack of your smartphone, tablet, or Mac.
2. Open your preferred audio-only or video recording app and begin recording.

Connecting the microphone to a tripod
1. Screw the microphone onto a tripod or tripod plate using the 1/4" screw socket. Refer to the tripod's instructions for details.
2. Connect the 3.5mm audio cable to your camera or recording device.

Microphone Operation
- Press and hold the power switch for 3 seconds to turn on the BY-BM3011. The LED indicator will light up.
- Point the microphone towards the sound source and away from unwanted noise. For best results when using on a tripod, position the microphone directly below or above the sound source and in front of it.
- After recording is complete, press the power switch again to turn off the BY-BM3011.
