This appliance is intended for domestic indoor and car use only. Do not use it whilst the car is in motion or while driving.

Usage Guidelines
Carpets or Hard Floors
Before vacuuming, check the manufacturer's recommended cleaning instructions. The brush bar may damage certain carpet types and floors. If carpets fuzz, vacuum without the motorised floor tool. Before vacuuming highly polished floors, check that the underside of the floor tool and brushes are free from foreign objects that could cause marking.
Vacuuming
Do not use without the clear bin and filter in place. Vacuum fine dirt such as flour only in very small amounts. Do not use the appliance to pick up sharp hard objects, small toys, pins, or paper clips, as they may damage the appliance. When vacuuming certain carpets, small static charges may generate in the clear bin or wand; these are harmless. To minimise any effect, do not put your hand or insert any object into the clear bin unless it has been emptied. Clean the clear bin with a damp cloth only. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. Do not rest the appliance on chairs or tables. Do not press down on the nozzle with excessive force. Do not leave the cleaner head in one place on delicate floors. On waxed floors, the movement of the cleaner head may create an uneven lustre; wipe with a damp cloth, polish with wax, and wait for it to dry.
Maintenance and Care
Emptying the Clear Bin
Empty as soon as dirt reaches the 'dust bin' mark. Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the charger before emptying. To make emptying easier, remove the wand and floor tool. Push the blue button by the clear bin to open the bin base. To minimise dust contact, encase the clear bin tightly in a plastic bag before emptying. Remove the bin carefully, seal the bag, and dispose of it normally. Close the bin base until it clicks into place.
Cleaning the Clear Bin
Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the charger before removing the clear bin. Remove the wand and floor tool. Remove the clear bin carefully. Clean the clear bin with a damp cloth only. Do not use detergents, polishes, or air fresheners. Do not put the clear bin in a dishwasher. Clean the cyclone shroud with the brush tool to remove lint and dust. Ensure the clear bin is completely dry before replacing. To replace, push the clear bin up and in until it clicks.
Washing the Filter
Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the charger before removing the filter. The appliance has one washable filter. Remove the filter from the top of the appliance. Wash the filter regularly with cold water until the water runs clear. Squeeze and twist to remove excess water. Lay the filter on its side to dry completely for at least 24 hours. Do not put the filter in a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave, or near a naked flame. Refit the dry filter securely.
Clearing Blockages
Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the charger before checking for blockages. Turn the appliance OFF. Beware of sharp objects. To access blockages in the floor tool, remove the base plate by loosening the screw with a coin. If an obstruction cannot be cleared, remove the brush bar by unlocking the fastener with a coin. Remove the obstruction, then refit the brush bar securely. Refit all parts securely before using. Clearing blockages is not covered by the warranty.
Thermal Cut-Out
This appliance has an automatically resetting thermal cut-out. If large items block the tools or nozzle, the appliance may overheat and cut out. Allow it to cool for 1-2 hours before checking for blockages. Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the charger. Clear any blockage before restarting.
Charging and Storing
The appliance will switch 'OFF' if the battery temperature is below 3°C (37.4°F) to protect the motor and battery. Do not charge the appliance and then store it in an area below this temperature. To prolong battery life, avoid recharging immediately after a full discharge; allow it to cool for a few minutes. Avoid using the appliance with the battery flush to a surface to help it run cooler and prolong run time and life.
