Important Safety Instructions
WARNING: These warnings apply to the appliance, and also where applicable, to all tools, accessories, chargers or mains adaptors.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY:
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8+ and persons with reduced capabilities if supervised or instructed on safe use and hazards. Cleaning and maintenance by children require supervision.
- Do not allow to be used as a toy. Supervise children closely.
- Use only as described in this manual. Do not perform maintenance not shown or advised by Proscenic Helpline.
- Suitable for dry locations ONLY. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
- Do not handle plugs or appliance with wet hands.
- Do not use with a damaged cable or plug. If damaged, it must be replaced by Proscenic, its service agent, or similarly qualified person.
- If appliance malfunctions, is dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped in water, do not use and contact Proscenic Helpline.
- Contact Proscenic Helpline for service/repair. Do not disassemble; incorrect reassembly may cause electric shock or fire.
- Do not stretch or strain the cable. Keep away from heated surfaces. Do not pinch cable in doors or sharp edges. Arrange cable away from traffic areas to prevent tripping. Do not run over cable.
- To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cable. Extension cords are not recommended.
- Do not use to pick up water. ?
- Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids (e.g., petrol) or in areas where they may be present.
- Do not pick up anything burning or smoking (e.g., cigarettes, matches, hot ashes). ?
- Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and body parts away from openings and moving parts (e.g., brush bar). Do not point hose, wand, or tools at eyes/ears or put them in your mouth. ✋
- Do not put objects into openings. Keep openings free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow.
- Use only Proscenic recommended accessories and replacement parts.
- Do not use without the clear bin and filter in place.
- Unplug when not in use for extended periods and before maintenance/servicing.
- Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
- Do not install, charge, or use outdoors, in a bathroom, or within 3 meters (10 feet) of a pool. Do not use on wet surfaces or expose to moisture, rain, or snow.
- Use only Proscenic chargers and batteries. Other types may burst, causing injury or damage.
- Do not incinerate the appliance, even if severely damaged, as the battery may explode. ?
- Always turn 'OFF' the appliance before connecting or disconnecting the motorised brush bar.
Product Overview
The Proscenic P8 is a cordless stick vacuum cleaner designed for domestic household use. It offers versatile cleaning for various surfaces and is equipped with a rechargeable battery for convenient operation.
Key Components: The appliance typically includes a main motor unit with a dustbin, a wand for extended reach, various cleaning tools (e.g., crevice tool, brush tool), and a floor head, often with a motorised brush bar. A docking station is provided for charging and storage.
Operation
- Ensure the appliance is used and stored upright. Tipping it over may release dirt and debris.
- Do not operate while checking for blockages.
- For domestic indoor and car use only. Do not use while the car is in motion.
- The appliance features carbon fibre brushes. Handle with care to avoid minor skin irritation; wash hands after contact.
Docking Station Installation
Mount the docking station securely using appropriate hardware for your wall type. Ensure no pipes (gas, water, air) or electrical cables are behind the mounting area. Installation must comply with local regulations. Protective clothing and eyewear are recommended.
Cleaning Floors
- General: Before cleaning, consult manufacturer's recommended instructions for your flooring.
- Carpet/Hard Floors: The brush bar may damage certain floor types or cause carpets to fuzz. If fuzzing occurs, use without the motorised floor tool and consult your flooring manufacturer. Ensure the floor tool and brushes are free from foreign objects before cleaning highly polished floors to prevent scratches.
- Stairs: Exercise extra care when cleaning stairs.
- Waxed Floors: The cleaner head's movement may create uneven lustre. Wipe with a damp cloth, polish with wax, and allow to dry.
Maintenance
Only perform maintenance described in this manual or advised by Proscenic. Use only recommended parts to avoid invalidating your guarantee.
Emptying the Clear Bin
- Empty when dirt reaches the MAX mark; do not overfill.
- Disconnect from charger before emptying. Do not pull the 'ON' trigger.
- For easier emptying, remove the wand and floor tool.
- To release dirt, press the red button: once to open the base, twice to detach the bin.
- To minimize dust/allergen contact, empty the bin into a plastic bag.
- Seal the bag tightly and dispose normally.
- Close the bin base until it clicks securely.
Cleaning the Clear Bin
- Disconnect from charger before removing the bin. Do not pull the 'ON' trigger.
- Remove wand and floor tool.
- Carefully remove the clear bin.
- Clean only with a damp cloth. Do not use detergents, polishes, or air fresheners.
- Do not put the clear bin in a dishwasher.
- Clean the cyclone shroud with the combination tool brush to remove lint/dust.
- Ensure the bin is completely dry before replacing.
- To replace, push the bin up and in until it clicks.
- Close the bin base until it clicks securely.
Washing the Filter
- Disconnect from charger before removing the filter. Do not pull the 'ON' trigger.
- The appliance has one washable filter.
- Remove the filter by lifting it from the top of the appliance.
- Wash regularly with cold water until water runs clear.
- Squeeze and twist with both hands to remove excess water.
- Lay on its side to dry completely for at least 24 hours.
- Do not put the filter in a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave, or near a naked flame.
- Refit the dry filter securely.
- Filter may need more frequent washing if vacuuming fine dust or using 'Powerful suction' mode.
Clearing Blockages
- Disconnect from charger before checking for blockages. Do not pull the 'ON' trigger.
- Turn the appliance OFF before checking. Failure to do so may result in injury.
- Beware of sharp objects.
- To access floor tool blockages, remove the base plate by loosening a screw with a coin.
- If obstruction persists, remove the brush bar using a coin to unlock a fastener. Remove obstruction.
- Replace brush bar and secure firmly.
- Wash hands after handling carbon fibre brushes.
- Refit all parts securely before use.
- Clearing blockages is not covered by your guarantee.
Blockages – Thermal Cut-Out
The appliance has an automatic thermal cut-out. If large items block tools/nozzle, the appliance may overheat and shut off. Allow 1-2 hours to cool down before checking filter or blockages. Clear any blockage before restarting. Ensure appliance is disconnected from charger before checking for blockages.
Charging and Storing
- The appliance switches OFF if battery temperature is below 3°C (37.4°F) to protect the motor and battery. Do not charge or store below this temperature.
- To prolong battery life, avoid immediate recharging after full discharge; allow to cool for a few minutes.
- Avoid using the appliance with the battery flush to a surface to help it run cooler and prolong battery life.
Battery Diagnostics
During Use (Trigger Pressed):
- 3 Solid Blue Light: ON
- 1 Flashing Blue Light: No power
During Charging (Light on Battery):
- Solid Red Light: Charging
- Solid Blue Light: Charging complete
- Flashing Red/Blue Light: Fault
Battery Safety Instructions
- For battery replacement, contact Proscenic Helpline.
- Use only Proscenic chargers and batteries.
- The battery is sealed. In case of liquid leak:
- Skin Contact: May cause irritation. Wash with soap and water.
- Inhalation: May cause respiratory irritation. Seek fresh air and medical advice.
- Eye Contact: May cause irritation. Flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.
- Disposal: Wear gloves, dispose of immediately according to local ordinances.
CAUTION: The battery may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not disassemble, short circuit, heat above 60°C (140°F), or incinerate. Keep away from children.
Disposal Information
Proscenic products are made from high-grade recyclable materials. Recycle where possible. Remove the battery before disposal and dispose of/recycle it according to local ordinances or regulations.
