EPSON L6190: Scanning from Control Panel to Computer via USB

This guide explains how to scan documents from the EPSON L6190 printer's control panel and send them to your computer using a USB connection. The example uses Windows 10 (64-bit) operating system.
Step 1: Check Software Installation
First, ensure that the scanner driver (Epson Scan 2) and Epson Event Manager are installed on your computer. If they are not installed, please download them from the official EPSON website.

Step 2: Open Event Manager
Open the Epson Event Manager tool software on your computer and proceed with configuring the file settings.
Step 3: Select Printer and Job Settings
Select your printer model from the list, then click on 'Perform Job Settings' (進行工作設定).
Step 4: Configure Scan Settings
Make the relevant settings according to your preferences, then click 'OK' (確定).

- Scan to PDF (掃描成PDF檔)
- Job Description (工作描述)
- Scan Settings (掃描設定): Input Source (輸入來源): Auto Detect (自動偵測), Size (尺寸): A4, Image Format (影像格式): Color (彩色), Resolution (解析度): Custom (300 dpi) (自訂(300 dpi))
- Save Settings (儲存設定): Destination Folder (目標資料夾): Pictures (Pictures), File Name (檔案名稱): img [001] (img 001), File Format (檔案格式): PDF (PDF)
Step 5: Place Document and Select Scan
Place your document face down on the printer's glass platen (scanning surface). Then, select the 'Scan' (掃描) function from the printer's control panel.
Step 6: Choose Scan Destination (Computer WSD)
On the printer's control panel, tap 'Computer (WSD)' (電腦(WSD)).
Step 7: Select Computer
Tap 'Choose Computer' (+ 選擇電腦).
Step 8: Select USB Connected Computer
Tap 'USB Connected Computer' (USB 連接的電腦).
Step 9: Choose Save Format
You can select the desired file format for saving the scanned image to your computer.
Step 10: Save as JPEG
Tap 'Save as JPEG' (儲存為JPEG).
Step 11: Initiate Scan
Tap 'Save' (儲存) to begin scanning the document to your computer.
Step 12: View Scanned File
After the scan is complete, view the scanned file on your computer.
