Function Key Combinations
The keyboard features various function key combinations for enhanced control:

Connectivity Modes
Pairing Bluetooth
- Toggle the switch to the BT side.
- Hold FN+Q/W/E until the light indicator flashes quickly to pair.
- Open Bluetooth settings on your device and find "Galaxy65-1", "Galaxy65-2", or "Galaxy65-3" to connect.
- The indicator light will stop flashing and return to the current backlight effect when connected.
- Short press FN+Q/W/E to toggle between Bluetooth devices 1/2/3.
Pairing 2.4G Wireless
- Toggle the switch to the 2.4G side.
- The "R" key will light up and blink slowly when in 2.4G mode.
- Insert the 2.4G receiver into your device.
- The indicator light will stop blinking and return to the current backlight effect when connected.
- *Note: Press and hold FN+R until the light indicator flashes quickly to rematch the 2.4G receiver.
Wired Mode
- Toggle the switch to the wired side and plug in the USB-C cable.
- The "T" key will light up white for 3 seconds and then return to the current backlight effect to indicate connection.
Light Indicator
Understand the keyboard's indicator lights:
- FN key: When holding FN, Q/W/E/R/T keys light up white indicating current connectivity.
- Caps key: White light when triggered.
- Win key: White light when locked.
- L_Ctrl key: White light for 3 seconds when the number row is swapped to the function row.
Battery Check & Sleep Mode
Battery Check
Hold FN+Backspace. The backlight will turn off, and keys 1! through =+ will illuminate in red to indicate the current battery percentage. For example, keys 1! to 6^ illuminated means 60% battery; keys 1! to += illuminated means 100% battery.
*Note: The keyboard charges via wired or wireless connection when plugged in.
Sleep Mode
- Battery Saving Mode: If no key is pressed for 2 minutes, the keyboard enters battery saving mode with the backlight off. Press any key to wake it.
- Deep Sleep Mode: If no key is pressed for 10 minutes, the keyboard enters deep sleep mode, disconnecting and turning off the backlight. Press any key to wake it.
How to Connect to VIA
To use the VIA software for customization:
- Visit github.com/WestBerryVIA/via-releases/releases to download the latest VIA application for your operating system.
- Turn off the "Use V2 Definition (deprecated)" button.
- Download the EPOMAKER Galaxy65 JSON file from epomaker.com/blogs/via-json/epomaker-galaxy65-json.
- Load the JSON file into the VIA application.
- Once loaded, the "Configure" tab will display the keyboard layout and programmable functions.
Replacing Keycaps and Switches

Removing Switches
- Grip the switch with the switch removal tool, aligning the teeth vertically with the switch.
- Apply pressure with the switch puller until the switch releases from the plate.
- Gently pull the switch upwards vertically.
Installing Switches
- Ensure switch pins are straight and clean.
- Align the switch vertically so the Gateron logo faces north. Pins should align with the keyboard PCB.
- Press the switch down until it clicks, indicating it's secured to the plate.
- Inspect and test the switch.
Important Note: If a key doesn't work, pins might be bent. Remove and reinstall. Avoid excessive force. Contact customer service if you encounter issues.
