ANCEL FX2000 Upgrade Guide

When to Update

A software update is required if you encounter the following problems:

  1. The tool fails to work on your car.
  2. It is slow to load all menus.
  3. You need a newer software version.

The tool can be updated only via the memory card.

Update Procedure

Follow the steps below to proceed with the update:

Note: Please prepare a computer with Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10 installed and ensure it is successfully connected to the Internet. A memory card reader is also needed.

  1. Connect the tool to the computer via the supplied data cable.
  2. After the tool is powered on, navigate to the "Help" icon and press the [OK] button.

  3. Select "[Tool Information]" from the menu and press [OK].

  4. Note down the Serial Number (also found on the back of the tool) and the Register Code. These are necessary for later registration.

  5. Disconnect the tool from the computer.

    Note: Do not connect the data cable to a host computer that is running the update tool, as this may cause the program to not respond.

  6. Open your computer's web browser and visit https://www.anceltech.com. Click "Download" to download the "FX2000" update tool.
  7. Install the update tool and then run it. The following window will appear on the screen.

  8. Enter the Serial Number and click [Device Upgrade] to proceed to the following screen. Input the required information and click [Submit].

  9. Install the memory card from the tool into the supplied card reader and insert it into a USB port on the computer.
  10. Reopen the update tool. Select the desired updates manually or click [Select All], and then click [Download] to start downloading.

  11. After the download is complete, reinsert the memory card into the tool and power the tool by connecting the data cable to the computer. The tool will automatically start upgrading.
