Product Overview
Thank you for purchasing a Winix air purifier. This product is designed for household use and features a 4-stage air purification system with PlasmaWave® technology and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Where to Use
Placement Guidelines:
- Allow 30-45cm of space between the unit and other electronics to prevent electromagnetic interference.
- Place indoors away from direct sunlight, which may cause malfunction or failure.
- Only place on hard, flat surfaces to avoid abnormal noise and vibrations.
- Ensure at least 30-45cm clearance from walls for optimal air flow.
4-Stage Air Purification
The Winix C545(AU) uses a four-stage process to purify the air:
- Pre-Filter: Captures larger airborne particles like dust and pet hair.
- Activated Carbon Filter: Reduces odors, VOCs, and smoke.
- True HEPA Filter: Captures 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including fine dust, pollen, mold spores, and bacteria.
- PlasmaWave® Technology: Creates hydroxyls to help neutralize airborne viruses, bacteria, and gases without producing harmful ozone.
Control Panel
The control panel features the following indicators and buttons:
- 01. Auto Mode Indicator: LED light indicates when Auto Mode is active.
- 02. Air Quality Indicator: Color-coded LED shows air quality: Red (poor), Amber (fair), Blue (good).
- 03. Fan Speed Indicator: Displays the current fan speed setting.
- 04. Sleep Mode Indicator: LED light indicates when Sleep Mode is on.
- 05. Filter Replacement Indicator: Illuminates when it's time to replace the filter.
- 06. Filter Reset Button: Press and hold for 5 seconds after filter replacement to reset the indicator.
- 07. Smart Sensor: Detects odorous gases and adjusts fan speed automatically in Auto Mode.
- 08. Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
- 09-1. Fan Speed/Auto/Sleep Buttons: Cycle through fan speeds (Auto, Low, Medium, High, Turbo, Sleep).
- 09-2. PlasmaWave® Button: Toggles PlasmaWave® technology on or off. A slight chirping sound may occur, which is normal.
- 10. PlasmaWave® Indicator: Shows if PlasmaWave® is enabled or disabled.
- 11. Wi-Fi Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate pairing mode.
- 12. Wi-Fi Indicator: Shows Wi-Fi status (flashing during pairing, solid white when connected).
- 13. Light Sensor: Detects ambient light to activate Sleep Mode automatically in Auto Mode.

Initial Operation and Filter Installation
- Grasp the upper edge of the front panel and gently pull forward to remove it.
- Remove the Pre-Filter, then the bag containing the other filters.
- Remove filters from their protective plastic bags.
- Install the filters in the correct order: Pre-Filter (front), Activated Carbon Filter (middle), True HEPA Filter (back). Ensure they fit securely.
- Close the front panel.
- Insert the power cord into an electrical outlet.
Note: The smart sensor takes approximately 4 minutes to detect air quality for initial operation.

Note: Filter replacement intervals may vary depending on the environment.
Replacing Filters and Resetting Life:
- After replacing the True HEPA Filter, re-install the Pre-Filter and close the front panel.
- With the unit powered on, press and hold the Filter Reset Button for at least 5 seconds until a beep is heard. The Filter Replacement Indicator will turn off, indicating the True HEPA Filter life has been reset.
Cleaning and Care
Cleaning the Filters:
- Pre-Filter: Use a vacuum cleaner or soft brush. If excessively soiled, rinse in room temperature water. Do not use detergent or soap. Allow to dry completely (24+ hours) before re-installing.
- Activated Carbon & True HEPA Filters: These filters cannot be washed and should be replaced as per the maintenance schedule.
Cleaning the Exterior & Interior:
- Wipe the exterior with a soft damp cloth using room temperature water, then dry with a clean cloth.
- Open the front panel and clean the interior with a vacuum cleaner. Clean every 1-2 months for optimal performance.
Notice: Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Do not use hot water over 40°C, volatile fluids, flammable sprays, liquid detergents, benzene, alcohol, or paint thinner. Do not allow children to clean or maintain the unit unsupervised.

Safety and Cautions
General Safety:
- Read and follow all safety instructions before operating.
- Ensure filters are installed before running the unit.
- Do not insert foreign objects into vents.
- Do not touch interior parts with wet hands.
- Ensure intake and outlet vents are not blocked to prevent overheating and failure.
- Do not use the unit as a step stool or place heavy objects on it.
WARNING: Follow instructions to reduce risk of electric shock, short circuit, fire, or injury.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or qualified persons.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above under supervision. Persons with reduced capabilities can use it if supervised and instructed safely.
- Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.
- Always unplug the unit before cleaning or maintenance.
- Avoid damaging the power cord by bending, pulling, twisting, bundling, pinching, or placing heavy objects on it.
- Do not install in motor vehicles or transport vehicles.
- Do not place in areas with excessive noxious gases, flammable materials, or excessive humidity.
- Do not place closer than 30 cm from walls during operation to prevent condensation.
- Do not use around industrial oil mist, metallic dust, or where the unit may become wet.
- Do not place below electrical outlets or facing into wind/drafts.
- Do not pull the power cord when unplugging; grasp the plug itself.
- Do not tie or knot the power cord during operation.
- If the unit is submerged in water, unplug and contact customer service.
- Do not unplug or move the unit while in operation.
- Do not plug additional appliances into the same outlet.
- Do not handle the power plug with wet hands.
- Unplug the unit when not in use for extended periods.
- Do not place around heating elements.
- Do not operate without a filter.
- Do not wash and reuse the True HEPA Filter.
- Hold by the handle on the back for transport; do not hold by the front panel.
- Do not stick small objects into air outlet vents or the fan.
- Do not use near flammable gases, cigarettes, incense, or spark-creating items.
- Use AC 220-240 V only.
- Periodically remove dust from the power plug to reduce shock risk from humidity.
- Do not use detergent to clean the unit; do not use benzene or paint thinner. Do not spray insecticides on the unit.
- Do not operate when using indoor smoke-generating insecticides.
- Do not use where it is humid or may become wet, such as a bathroom.
- Do not use the unit on its side.
- Keep away from products that generate oily residue, such as deep fryers.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Problem: It does not turn on at all.
- Check / Actions: Is the plug securely attached to the outlet? Ensure the outlet has power. Is there a power outage? Check other electrical equipment.
- Problem: It doesn't work in Auto Mode.
- Check / Actions: Has Auto Mode been selected? Press the Mode button until Auto Mode is selected.
- Problem: It vibrates and makes a lot of noise.
- Check / Actions: Is it running on a slanted or uneven surface? Move the unit to a hard, flat, even area of the floor.
- Problem: The power plug and outlet feel hot.
- Check / Actions: Is the plug securely plugged in? Ensure the plug is properly inserted into the outlet.
- Problem: There is a strange smell.
- Check / Actions: Is it being used in a place with a lot of smoke, dust, or odors? Clean air intakes and the Pre-Filter. Clean or change the filters.
- Problem: The fan strength is weak. The unit is not purifying the air.
- Check / Actions: Is the Check Filter indicator light on? Change the filters as required.
- Problem: The display panel is dim.
- Check / Actions: Is the Light Sensor blocked by debris? When Auto Mode is on, Sleep Mode is automatically activated when the Light Sensor detects darkness.

Additional Notes
The product uses the "WFM60-SFP201" wireless module. The RCM mark was added to this user manual due to label size constraints on the module itself.
