E+E Sigma 05: Modular Sensor Platform

Overview

The Sigma 05 is a modular platform for intelligent probes, supporting analog outputs and an optional display. Its plug-in interchangeable probes make it suitable for harsh environments. The Sigma 05 is available with a polycarbonate or die-cast aluminum housing.

Flexibility: Various Probes and Measurement Targets

The Sigma 05 features an RS485 bus supporting up to three E+E plug-and-play probes with Modbus RTU protocol. Measurement values can be output via two freely selectable analog outputs and an optional graphic display.

Plug and Play

The Sigma 05 automatically detects E+E plug-and-play probes and independently performs hub configuration according to the rules. This simplifies probe replacement.

Configuration and Adjustment

The free PCS10 product setting software allows for easy configuration of the Sigma 05, including assignment of measurement values, setting of limit values, display layout, analog output scaling, and adjustment of connected probes.

DNV Certification (Optional)

The Sigma 05 modular sensor platform can be optionally DNV certified when used with the MOP301 oil-moisture probe and HTP501 humidity and temperature probe. Please refer to the respective probe datasheets for details.

The Sigma 05 modular sensor platform is available with DNV certification (optional) for humidity and oil-moisture applications.

Reference Probe

The functionality and accuracy of the Sigma 05 can be checked by connecting an E+E reference probe (Modbus RTU) instead of a standard sensor probe. This reference probe provides fixed values for various measurement parameters and is supplied with an individual test report. Field Loop Calibration

E+E sensor platforms are designed for modularity, allowing for easy field loop calibration or adjustment as required by industries adhering to FDA regulations. Using extension cables, the sensor probe can be connected to a portable calibrator without disconnecting the Sigma 05 main unit.
