Design and Operating Logic
- The unit casing is made of painted steel, internally filled with a layer of heat- and sound-insulating material.
- The unit casing incorporates a plate heat exchanger, a supply fan, and an extract fan.
- The front panel is installed on rotating sleeves for quick servicing access.
- The casing bottom is equipped with a protecting service panel for access to the automation unit.
- The G4 supply filter is installed between the fan and the heat exchanger to provide filtered supply air to the room. The G4 extract filter is installed in the upper part of the front panel.
Freezing Protection: A temperature sensor downstream of the heat exchanger in the exhaust air duct provides freezing protection. If the exhaust air temperature drops below +3°C (+37.4°F), the supply fan turns off, and the unit operates in extract mode only. The unit reverts to standard operation once the heat exchanger warms up and the freezing danger is no longer imminent.
Unit Operation Logic: Warm stale extract air from the room flows through air ducts to the unit, is purified by the extract filter, moves to the heat exchanger, and is exhausted by the extract fan. Clean cold outside air is supplied by supply fans, purified by the supply filter, passes through the heat exchanger, and is supplied to the room. Heat energy from the warm extract air transfers to the fresh intake air within the heat exchanger, minimizing heat energy losses and operating costs.
Diagram illustrating air flow: [Extract air arrow] (warm, stale) enters, passes through extract filter and heat exchanger, then is exhausted. [Supply air arrow] (clean, cold) enters, passes through supply filter and heat exchanger, then is supplied to the room. [Intake air arrow] and [Exhaust air arrow] are also depicted.
Mounting and Set-up
Unit mounting is performed using the master plate from the delivery set and two air ducts of required length, or optional mounting kits: MK1 Micra 60 or MK2 Micra 60 (special accessories).
The MK1 Micra 60 mounting set is designed for mounting at general construction stage and includes two plastic air ducts (500mm / 19 11/16" long) and two master plates for marking holes on inner and outer wall sides.
