Toshiba Inverter Technology
An inverter air conditioning unit increases or decreases the room temperature by automatically adjusting the compressor speed. Once the room is sufficiently cooled or heated, the inverter automatically reduces the compressor speed. This saves energy and minimizes temperature fluctuations within the room.
Thanks to inverter technology, the compressor only runs as fast as needed. As the compressor does not need to start and stop constantly, the lifespan of the air conditioning units is extended. Toshiba was the first manufacturer to introduce inverter technology in air conditioning units in 1981. Since then, this technology has continued to evolve and improve.

Toshiba's inverter regulation uses two different types of drive for the compressor: Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) for high efficiency, especially at partial load, and Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) for high output, allowing the desired temperature to be reached quickly.

Single Room Solution – RAV
The Single Room Solution is suitable for smaller commercial applications, such as offices, shops, or technical spaces, where reliability is crucial and continuous operation is required. Up to four indoor units of the same type can be connected to one outdoor unit. The nominal cooling capacity ranges from 2.5 kW to 22.5 kW.

Acoustic Pressure Level: Measured at a distance of 1 m from the indoor unit (1.5 m for cassette and ducted units), or 1 m from the outdoor unit. Values are obtained in a soundproof room according to JIS B8616 standard. These values may be higher in case of built-in installations due to external factors.
Wall-mounted Units
These wall-mounted units, with their elegant design, are suitable for offices, shops, hotels, technical rooms, and restaurants. They offer quiet and efficient operation with optimal air distribution thanks to a 5-speed fan and a large directional louvre. The self-cleaning function completely dries the heat exchanger at the end of operation, and along with the easy-to-clean dust filter, ensures hygiene during operation. An infrared remote control is included.

Cassette Units
Perfect air distribution. The low unit height allows the cassette to blend discreetly into any ceiling. Individual louvre control ensures optimal air distribution with extremely quiet operation. A condensate pump with a head of 850 mm is integrated into all cassette units. Furthermore, fresh air supply of up to 15% of the nominal airflow is possible via an external fan – the connection opening is pre-stamped.
60x60 Slim Cassette: Suitable for standard grid ceilings
Energy savings are possible with the optional presence sensor. The sensor detects the presence of people. If no one is in the room, the unit switches off automatically.

Ducted Units
Invisible air conditioning. Regardless of the room's shape, ducted units ensure uniform temperature everywhere. The unit is installed above the ceiling, making it invisible, and air is supplied to the room at the lowest airflow speed through one or more air outlets.

Regulating Exhaust Air Temperature: Controls the heating or cooling operation of the connected DX heat exchanger via room temperature or exhaust air temperature.

It is ideal for use with ventilation systems and air curtains. The controller can be flexibly configured for output control based on exhaust air temperature or via a 0-10 V signal.

- Wired Remote Control: Similar to the standard remote control, with 8 scheduled events per day and 6 parameters per event.
- Local Touch Lite: Compact local remote control via a smartphone-like touchscreen with personalized screens and logos.
- Remote Control Temperature Sensor: For precise temperature sensing when it's not possible via the indoor unit's sensor or the wired remote control.
- Infrared Remote Control + Receiver Kits: Similar to standard wired remote control, but wireless. For panel or external mounting.

- AP-IR-WiFi: Control indoor units via smartphone using an app.
- TO-RC-KNX®: Module for controlling indoor units via the KNX bus.

- Control Board: 3 analog and 3 digital inputs, 3 digital outputs for external control, alarms, and notifications (for ceiling suspended units).
- Operation/Fault Report Module: Output for operational reports and fault notifications, control of on/off, and error notifications for up to 16 indoor units via volt-free contacts.
- Analog Interface: Control of unit functions via 0-10 V signals or fixed resistors.
- Modbus® Interface: Control of unit functions via Modbus registers. Option to connect up to 64 interfaces.

- BACnet® Interface: Controls up to 128 indoor units. For connection to a customer's BACnet system.
- Analog Interface: Controls up to 64 indoor units. Control via 0-10 V signals or fixed resistors. 8 analog and 2 digital inputs. 5 analog and 5 digital outputs.
Efficiency Indicators
The efficiency of air conditioning systems and heat pumps is expressed by their performance coefficients.
Performance coefficient is the ratio of cooling or heating output to consumed electrical energy. A high performance coefficient indicates high energy efficiency. For example, a COP of 4.0 means that 1 kW of electrical current generates 4 kW of heating output – four times the input.
- EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio): Performance coefficient for cooling operation.
- COP (Coefficient Of Performance): Performance coefficient for heating operation.
For air conditioning systems, the EER value indicates the performance coefficient during cooling, while the COP value represents the performance coefficient during heating. As these values are determined for a single operating point, additional performance coefficients have been defined specifically for air conditioning that take partial load into account, as well as climatic influences.
- SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio): Annual performance coefficient for cooling operation.
- Extended by seasonal factors.
- Measurement points include temperatures of +20, +25, +30, and +35°C.
- SCOP (Seasonal Coefficient Of Performance): Annual performance coefficient for heating operation.
- Extended by seasonal factors.
- Measurement points include temperatures of +12, +7, +2, and -7°C.
The annual performance coefficient for air conditioning systems and heat pumps is called SEER for cooling operation and SCOP for heating operation, and it takes into account temperature changes throughout the year.
