Assembly Guide
Follow these steps to assemble your IKEA BESTÅ TV bench:
1. Prepare Base Panels: Place the two main horizontal base panels on a soft surface. Screw the six leveling feet (parts 114947, 115988) into the underside of these panels.
2. Assemble Main Frame: Align the base panels and secure them together using cam screws (e.g., part 130618) and cam locks (e.g., parts 118137, 122971, 141028, 130725, 119253). Attach the two vertical side panels to the base using the cam lock system. Slide the back panels into the rear grooves and secure them. Finally, place and secure the top panel onto the assembled unit.
3. Install Shelves: Insert shelf support pins (e.g., parts 130619, 130722, 141027, 130723, 130620) into the desired pre-drilled holes on the inner sides of the unit. Place the shelves onto the support pins.
4. Attach Wall Mounting Brackets to Unit: Secure the metal wall mounting brackets (part 144342) to the top rear edge of the unit using screws (part 113287).
5. Cable Management: Route and organize cables through designated channels and clips.
6. Wall Mounting (Crucial Safety Step):
Important: Use appropriate wall screws and plugs for your wall type. Consult a professional if unsure.
Mark the wall at the desired height. Attach the corresponding wall mounting hardware to the wall. Lift the assembled unit and hook the unit's brackets onto the wall hardware. Ensure the unit is securely fastened to the wall to prevent tip-over.
7. Door Installation (If applicable): If your unit includes doors, attach hinges and guides as shown in the diagrams, using appropriate screws (e.g., part 103693, 144343-144347).
8. Final Checks: Adjust leveling feet for stability. Ensure all connections are tight and the unit is securely attached to the wall.
Optional: UPPLEVA TV Mount Installation
