Installation and Connections
Read safety warnings before installation. Switch off the control unit. Connect the 24CBA BOX to the control unit using provided cables, ensuring correct polarity. Switch on the control unit. Connect batteries to the 24CBA BOX with provided cables, ensuring correct polarity. Place the 24CBA BOX and batteries as indicated in the figures, depending on the gear motor model.
Testing and Commissioning
After connecting the buffer battery:
- Connect the automation to the mains and verify charging voltage on the battery charger board.
- Perform a complete open and close maneuver to check system operation on mains power.
- Disconnect from mains and verify the control unit remains powered. Perform a complete open and close maneuver to check operation on battery power.
- Reconnect to the mains. Wait a few hours before further checks.
Maintenance
Maintenance must be performed by qualified personnel. The buffer battery requires no maintenance but should be disconnected and stored in a dry place during long periods of non-use. Batteries need replacement when their capacity significantly reduces due to aging. Every 12 months, check electrical connections and perform a functional system check.
