Before You Start
Assembly Recommendations:
- Assemble on a soft surface like a rug to prevent scratching the chair components or your floor. Avoid assembly on hard floors without protection.
- Ensure all parts align correctly before applying force. Do not force parts into place, as this may cause damage.
- If you encounter difficulties or are unsure about any step, consult the IKEA store for assistance.

Assembly Steps
Step 1: Assemble the Chair Base
Insert the five legs into the central hub of the base. Ensure each leg is fully seated.
Step 2: Attach the Gas Lift Cylinder
Insert the gas lift cylinder into the center of the base. Secure it using five screws (part number 123071) and five washers (part number 100842).
Step 3: Install the Casters
Insert the five casters into the ends of each leg. Push firmly until they click into place.
Step 4: Mount the Chair Mechanism
Place the chair mechanism onto the top of the gas lift cylinder. Ensure it is properly aligned.
Step 5: Attach the Seat
Place the seat cushion onto the chair mechanism. Remove and discard the protective cap from the gas lift cylinder into a recycling bin ♻️.
Step 6: Prepare the Seat Cover
Place the seat cushion on a flat surface. Align the seat cover over the cushion and zip it closed.
Step 7: Connect the Seat to the Base
Align the seat assembly with the gas lift cylinder on the chair base and press down firmly.
Step 8: Secure the Seat
Fasten the seat to the mechanism using four screws (part number 122900).
Step 9: Finalize the Connection
Push down on the seat until it clicks securely into place.
Step 10: Secure the Seat Cover Zipper
Ensure the seat cover zipper is fully closed and secured.
Step 11: Assembly Complete
Your MULLFJÄLLET chair is now ready for use.
Chair Features & Safety
Adjustable Seat Height: The MULLFJÄLLET chair offers adjustable seat height. Use the lever located beneath the seat to raise or lower it.
