Finding Your Serial Number or IMEI Code

Your serial number or IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) code can be found on the packaging. Alternatively, on the phone, press *#06# or go to Settings > Regulations and Safety > IMEI.

1. Your Mobile Phone

1.1 Buttons and Connectors

1. OK Button:

  • Press to confirm a selection (press the center button).
  • Press to access the application list (from the home screen).

2. Left Function Key (OK Button):

  • Press to confirm an option.
  • Press to access the application list (from the home screen).

3. Call Button:

  • Press to answer or initiate a call.
  • Press to display call history (from the home screen).

4. Right Function Key (Back Button):

  • Press to access contacts (from the home screen).

5. End Button:

  • Press to return to the home screen.
  • Press to end a call.

6. Navigation Keys:

  • Move up, down, left, or right in menus.
  • From the home screen, press:
    • Up: Access messages.
    • Down: Access the camera.
    • Right: Access phone/files/entertainment (1).
    • Left: Access tools.

7. '5' Key:

  • On the home screen: Press to enter the digit '5'. Long press to turn the flashlight on/off.

8. '*' Key:

  • On the home screen: Press to enter the '*' character. Long press to lock the screen.
  • In edit mode: Press to insert symbols.

9. '#' Key:

  • On the home screen: Press to enter the '#' character. Long press to turn vibration mode on/off.
  • In edit mode: Press to enter input method settings.

1.2 Getting Started

1.2.1 Settings

Removing Back Cover and Installing Battery

Inserting and Removing SIM/microSD Card

Insert the SIM card with the chip facing down and slide it into the slot. Ensure it is inserted correctly. To remove the card, push it in and slide it out. Turn off the phone before inserting or removing a SIM/microSD card.

Charging the Battery

Connect the battery charger to the phone and to an electrical outlet. Do not force the plug into the outlet. Ensure the battery is correctly inserted before connecting the charger. Use a nearby, easily accessible electrical outlet (do not use extension cords).

1.2.2 Turning On the Phone

Press and hold the End button until the phone turns on. The screen will light up in a few seconds. Unlock the phone by pressing the Left Function Key briefly or long-pressing it (1). The phone can be turned on and used even without a SIM card inserted.

1.2.3 Turning Off the Phone

Turn off the phone by pressing and holding the End button.

Power Saving Tips

To reduce power consumption, unplug the charger and turn off Bluetooth after the battery is fully charged. In Settings, you can also reduce screen brightness and shorten the screen timeout period.

1.3 Home Screen

1 Status Bar

  • Displays status and notifications.

1.4 Application List

Press the Left Function Key or the OK button on the home screen to open the application list.

1.4.1 Status Bar (1)

The status bar is displayed at the top of the home screen. It shows icons indicating the phone's status and new notifications.

1.4.2 Changing the Home Screen Wallpaper

  • On the home screen, press the OK button, select the Settings icon, then press the navigation key to select Phone Settings > Display > Wallpaper.
  • Choose a new image from the Gallery or User-defined section, press the Left Function Key, and then press OK. After exiting the menu, the new wallpaper will appear on the home screen.

2. Call History

2.1 Call

Dial a number, then press the Call button, or press the Right Function Key to select a contact from Contacts. Use the navigation keys to scroll up or down to select the desired contact, then press the Call button. If you make a mistake, you can delete incorrect digits by pressing the Right Function Key. End the call by pressing the End button.

International Calls

To make an international call, double-press the *+* button to enter '+', then enter the country code and the phone number. Dial the number by pressing the Call button.

Emergency Calls

If the phone is within signal coverage, dial the emergency number and press the Call button to initiate an emergency call.

2.2 Answering or Rejecting a Call

When a call comes in:

  • Press the Left Function Key or the Call button to accept the call.
  • Press the Right Function Key or the End button to reject the call.

2.3 Accessing Voicemail(1)

  • To call your voicemail, press and hold the 1 button.
  • Follow the prompts to set up your voicemail account.

3. Contacts

3.1 Managing Contacts

The Contacts list allows you to easily and quickly contact desired people. You can access this function by:

  • Pressing the OK button on the home screen and selecting Contacts.
  • Pressing the Right Function Key on the home screen.

  1. Press the Left Function Key to access more options.
  2. Press the OK button to view detailed contact information.
  3. Press the Right Function Key to return to the application list or home screen.

3.2 Adding a Contact

From the contact list screen, select New Contact or Options > New Contact to add new contacts with detailed information.

After completing, press the Left Function Key to save the contact.

3.3 Editing Contacts

Select a contact, press the OK button to open Details, select Options > Edit, and press the OK button to start editing.

3.4 Deleting a Contact

From the contact list screen, press the Left Function Key to open the Options menu, select Delete, and press the OK button to confirm deletion.

3.5 Available Options

In the contacts list, you have access to the following options:

  • Dial: Dial the number of the selected contact and make a call.
  • New Contact: Create a new contact on the phone or SIM card.
  • Send Text Message: Send an SMS message to a recipient selected from the Contacts list.
  • Edit: Edit contact details.
  • Delete: Delete the selected contact.
  • Copy: Copy the contact to the phone or SIM card.
  • Send Business Card: Send the contact via SMS/MMS/Bluetooth.
  • Others:
    • Speed Dial: Set one or more contacts for quick dialing.
    • Phone Permissions: Enable/disable FDN (Fixed Dialing Number) function and edit the FDN list.
  • Memory Status: Check the memory status of the phone and SIM card.
  • Copy All: Copy all contacts from the phone to the SIM card, or from the SIM card to the phone.
  • Move Contacts: Move selected contacts from the phone to the SIM card, or from the SIM card to the phone.
  • Delete All: Delete all contacts at once.
  • Backup Contacts: Back up all contacts to a microSD card.
  • Restore Contact: Restore backed-up contacts from a microSD card.

4. SOS ?

On the home screen, press the OK button and select SOS.

  • Status: In this menu, you can choose to Activate or Deactivate SOS.
  • Contact List: In this menu, you can set SOS contacts.
  • Message: In this menu, you can set an SOS message.
  • Repeated Attempts: If an emergency call is initiated but the intended recipient is unavailable, the call may go to voicemail or a corresponding service. This device is configured to attempt calling all predefined contacts sequentially for 15 seconds. Inform your friends and family members that you have added them to your SOS contact list.
  • SOS Settings (Assistant): In this menu, you can set the SOS key. Once set, long-pressing the SOS key will trigger a loud alarm, send help messages, and call predefined SOS contacts.

5. Tools ?️

5.1 Alarm

Your phone is equipped with a built-in alarm clock with a snooze function. You can set up to three alarms with different wake-up times.

5.2 Clock

The clock initially displays the time based on your location determined by the inserted SIM card. To view time zones for other locations, you can simply add them.

5.3 Flashlight

Press to turn the flashlight on/off.

5.4 Magnifier

Press to turn on the Magnifier.

5.5 Calculator

Press the up, down, left, right, or center buttons to select the operators +, -, ×, ÷, and =.

5.6 My Files

The phone provides internal storage for file management and also supports microSD cards. The content of the microSD card can be edited. You can create a new folder, delete or edit it, and view its details and files.

5.7 Call Filter

In this menu, you can set up a blacklist.

5.8 Calendar

Opening this menu displays a monthly calendar view where you can select a desired date. By pressing the Left Function Key and selecting Options, you can jump to the start of the week.

5.9 Conversions

Allows conversion of units of weight and distance.

6. Messages ✉️

Using the messaging function, you can send and receive text (SMS) messages.

6.1 Writing a Message

  • On the home screen, press the OK button and select Messages.
  • Press the Write message button to start composing a text message.
  • When finished, press the Left Function Key and select Options > Send to send the text message.

6.2 How to Write a Message

In edit mode, you can press the keyboard to change the input method and access numbers 1, 2, 3..., or long-press the corresponding key to get the desired number.

You can enter text using predictive text input or by pressing # to set the desired text input mode.

  • To enter text normally, press the number keys 2 through 9 until the desired character appears. If the next desired letter is on the same key as the current one, press and hold the key repeatedly until the next cursor appears.
  • Pressing the # key allows you to switch between Abc/abc/ABC/123 modes or change the input language.
  • To insert punctuation or special characters, press the * + key.
  • To delete any previously typed letters or symbols, press the Right Function Key and delete them one by one.

Settings

  • Message Center SIM1/SIM2: Set the message center number here.
  • Message Validity Period: You can set the message validity period to 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours, 72 hours, 1 week, or Maximum.
  • Status Messages: You can enable or disable status messages.
  • Reply Path: Check this box to enable the function.
  • Message Encoding: You can set the character code to 7-bit GSM encoding, UCS2 encoding, or Automatic.
  • Save Sent Messages: Choose whether to save sent messages or not.
  • Preferred Storage: Set the path for storing messages.
  • Export SMS: Set the SMS path from which to export.
  • Automatic Signature: Select if you want to use an automatic signature for messages.
  • Signature: Enter your signature.

7. Camera ?

Your mobile phone is equipped with a camera, allowing you to take photos and record videos.

7.1 Camera

On the home screen, press the center function button and select Camera.

Taking a Photo

The screen acts as a viewfinder. Align the object or landscape in the viewfinder. Press the center function button to take a photo and press the Left Function Key to save it.

7.2 Video

Recording Video

  • Press the Left Function Key and select DV mode to switch from camera mode to video camera mode.
  • Press the center function button to record video.
  • When finished, press the Left Function Key to automatically save the video. You can view the video by selecting Gallery from the application list.

8. Gallery ?️

Gallery functions as a multimedia player for photos and videos. It also offers a range of other operations for images and videos. To view your captured photos or videos, press the OK button on the home screen and select Gallery.

9. Settings ⚙️

9.1 Phone Settings

  • Display: This function allows you to select wallpaper settings, power-on display settings, power-off display settings, LCD backlight, date and time display, and keyboard backlight time.
  • Date & Time: Allows you to adjust date and time settings, including 12/24h format and date format (Year-Month-Day/Month-Day-Year/Day-Month-Year). You can also choose automatic time display updates by selecting Phone Settings > Automatic time update.
  • Automatic Screen Lock: This function allows you to set the automatic lock time.
  • Language: In this menu, you can set the display language and input language.
  • Preferred Input Method: This function allows you to change the input method.
  • Scheduled Power On/Off: In this function, you can set the power-on or power-off time.

9.2 Bluetooth ?

Between Bluetooth-enabled devices within range, you can transfer data such as videos, images, and audio files after pairing.

9.3 Hourly Alerts

This function allows you to turn hourly alerts on/off.

9.4 Help (SOS)

Detailed information can be found in section "4. SOS".

9.5 Layout

This function allows you to set the 3*3 mode or super icon mode.

9.6 Profiles

In this menu, you can set the sound mode: Normal, Silent, Meeting, or Airplane.

9.7 Dual SIM Function Settings

With support for two SIM cards, you can use two phone numbers on one device.

9.8 Call Settings

  • Call Forwarding: You can activate, cancel, or check the status of call forwarding to voicemail or a specified number.
  • Call Waiting: Activate/deactivate audible notification for a second incoming call. You can also check the status of call waiting.

9.9 Security Settings

The phone can be protected by activating and changing the PIN code and password. The default setting is 1234.

9.10 Network Settings

  • Network Selection: Network connection mode can be set to Automatic or Manual.
  • Network Information: This function allows you to view network information.

9.11 Font Settings

In this menu, you can adjust the font size.

9.12 Call Filter

In this menu, you can set up a blacklist.

9.13 Regulation and Safety

You can view information about the phone, such as the product model, manufacturer name, IMEI, CU references, etc.

9.14 Restore Settings

Phone settings will be restored to their default values. User data will be erased. Confirm the phone restore and reset by entering the default password 1234.

10. Troubleshooting

Before contacting a service center, we recommend following the instructions below:

  • To ensure optimal performance, we recommend charging the battery to full capacity.
  • Do not store large amounts of data on the phone, as this may affect its performance.

Also perform the following checks:

Phone does not turn on or does not respond

  • Check the battery contacts, reinsert the battery, and then turn on the phone.
  • Check the battery charge level and charge it for at least 20 minutes.

Phone does not respond for a few minutes

  • Restart the phone by holding the End button.
  • Remove and reinsert the battery. Then turn the phone on again.

Phone turns off by itself

  • Check if the phone is locked and ensure you have not accidentally turned it off by pressing the End button.
  • Check the battery charge level.

Battery charging is not working correctly

  • Use the supplied TCL battery and charger.
  • Check if the battery is inserted correctly. The battery must be inserted before connecting the charger.
  • Check if the battery is completely discharged. If the battery has been discharged for a long time, it may take approximately 20 minutes for the battery charging indicator to appear on the screen.
  • Charging must take place under normal conditions (0 °C to +40 °C).
  • When abroad, check if the electrical network provides compatible voltage.

Phone cannot connect to the network or displays "No signal"

  • Try connecting in a different location.
  • Check the network coverage range with your operator.
  • Check the validity of your SIM card with your operator.
  • Try manually selecting an available network.
  • Try connecting later, as the network may be overloaded.

Phone cannot connect to the Internet

  • Ensure that your SIM card has internet access enabled.
  • Check the internet connection settings on your phone.
  • Go to locations with network coverage.
  • Try connecting later or from a different location.

Invalid SIM card

  • Check if the SIM card is inserted correctly.
  • Check if the SIM card chip is damaged or scratched.
  • Check if telephone services are enabled on the SIM card.

Unable to make outgoing calls

  • Ensure you have entered a valid number and pressed the Call button.
  • For international calls, check the country and area code.
  • Check if your phone is connected to the network and if this network is available and not overloaded.
  • Check your account status (credit, SIM card validity, etc.) with your operator.
  • Check if you have set up blocking of outgoing calls.
  • Check if the phone is in Airplane mode.

Unable to receive incoming calls

  • Ensure the phone is turned on and connected to the network (check if the network is not overloaded or unavailable).
  • Check your account status (credit, SIM card validity, etc.) with your operator.
  • Check if you have set up call forwarding for incoming calls.
  • Check if you have set up blocking of certain calls.
  • Check if the phone is in Airplane mode.

Caller's name/number not displayed for incoming calls

  • Check if your operator provides this service.
  • The caller has hidden their name or number.

Cannot find my contacts

  • Check if the SIM card is damaged.
  • Check if the SIM card is inserted correctly.
  • Import all contacts stored on the SIM card to the phone.

Poor call audio quality

  • You can adjust the volume during a call by pressing the Volume Up/Down button.
  • Check the network signal strength.
  • Check the cleanliness of the receiver, connector, and speaker on your phone.

Features described in the user manual cannot be used

  • Check with your operator if you have subscribed to the service.
  • Ensure that the feature does not require TCL accessories.

Cannot dial a number from contacts

  • Check if the number in contacts is correct.
  • Check if you have entered the country prefix when calling abroad.

Cannot add a contact to my contacts

  • Check if the maximum number of contacts on the SIM card has been reached. Delete some entries or save entries to the phone's contacts.

Callers cannot leave messages in my voicemail

  • Contact your network operator and verify service availability.

Cannot access my voicemail

  • Ensure the operator's voicemail number is entered correctly.
  • If the network is overloaded, try again later.

SIM card is locked with PIN

  • Request the PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code from your network operator.

Other devices do not recognize the phone via Bluetooth

  • Check if Bluetooth is activated and if the phone is visible to other users.
  • Check if both phones are within Bluetooth range.

How to transfer data between the phone and a computer?

  • To transfer data between a memory card or SD card and a computer, connect the phone to the computer using a data cable and select "SD" in the phone's options. You can then transfer data between these two units.
